"There are no issues with the game development. All of the information was in the press release, the only reason for the delay is to release on multiple platforms," Ubisoft public relations specialist Sarah Irvin said.
So there we are. The Wii U version was delayed for no reason pertaining to that version.

This makes me sad. All of this. I am sad.
Not that surprised, since I've already had some idea of what the ugly side of game development can be like.

Ok, now I truly question the decision if the developers were ready to release it. And here I was praising them for being a good publisher....
The developers must feel like they just got kicked in the nuts

I'm so sorry to the fans who wanted this.
I mean, I hate Rayman. Really. A lot. But I know there were a lot of fans who got a Wii U because of this game.
And when the game doesn't sell because of other games overshadowing it, they'll just blame the consumers.

I hope this kick in groin doesn't cause too much backlash, as UbiSoft is still my favorite 3rd party co. and great Nintendo supporter.
This move by Ubisoft is rather unprecedented. Typically when they say exclusive, they mean exclusive (Splinter Cell: Conviction, Red Steel series). Doubt ZombiU is going anywhere, or is it.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Yeah... their post makes me more upset than the news itself...
Today is a dark day.

That was unbelievable. Unbelievable. I feel more simpathy for the developers than I do for the needy, unsatisfied fans.
Just for you.

This is just awful. I really do feel bad for the team that put so much time into the game.
Sadly, we must remember that it's like this just about everywhere. Even Nintendo. It's all about the money, not about the people behind it.
And he's right. Developers have no say 99% of the time. It's the bigwigs in charge.

I really hate Ubisoft right now. Not only for basically stabbing Nintendo in the back, but also more so for treating their own development team as a litter box. Shame on you Ubisoft, shame on you.

That's kinda my feelings. Again, I had no intention of buying this...and I was upset for the fans and them stabbing Nintendo's back...
But now I'm even more sympathetic for the development team.

You know what would suck? If Ubisoft delayed the game for the purporse of making their next fiscal year much more attractive. Their year was phenomenal this year, so they might as well spread out their success to make next year great too. All about the investors.

You know, I was mildly annoyed at worst about this and only because another Michel Ancel project would have to scratch and claw it's way into being profitable somehow but this is just really bad. Way too typical than we see I'm sure, but the fact that on the same day even a developer decides to slam them for this decision says a whole heck of a lot more than 500+ angry Nintendo fans ever could.
Bet they'll take the blame for it too. I'd like to believe otherwise but...ugh...

Well, I think this is the first time I'm genuinely mad at a game company. (Sure I was upset with Capcom over MML3.) That's BS. Couldn't have at least waited a year after release to go multi platform? Now all that rushing goes to nothing. I know what feeling. Obviously not to their extent.

Here's the thing, I can, even at worst, begrudgingly respect a company that does everything it can (legally) for the sake of profit and staying around even if I don't like the decisions personally. But I can't do that if I think the decision will not ultimately make them more money.
And I am disappointed if I'm right, I don't want to see this game fail. It looks like a great game. Like maybe a GOTY contender. Release it in August at least, cmon.
