I just noticed that no one has created a forum about this Wii U exclusive launch title. Problem solved.

It's Ubisoft, and Rayman at that, so I doubt it'll remain exclusive for long, but just Rayman Legends and Pikmin 3 are enough to make me excited for the WiiU's launch window.

Maybe after they'd started development on Legends they saw poor sales for Rayman Origins. Decided to drop cross platform support and do what Ubisoft does best by riding the launch of a new console.

I'm wondering why no one has created a thread about the new 3D Castlevania.....Actually, it's probably not even worth it.
I really hate the older and americanized look they gave the Lead/Belmot character. I'm by no means a fan of the animefied Metroidvania look(Although OoE managed to whip out that solid SOTN-like gothic character design whenever the characters were chatting that is.) I'm much more of a fan of the Old School Box Art work for Castlevania I-III and SCIV for the SNES. It captures that magical timeless and classic look and portrays Belmont as a he-man like protagonist but with bad ass dreads and a vampire killing whip of course.

Either way, if this is anthing like the first I'll be skipping. I'm miles more interested in the new 2D Castlevania that's hitting the 3DS anyways.

Origins didn't sell poorly (initially) because it was multi-platform; it sold poorly because Ubisoft stupidly decided to release it in the middle of November when, between MW3, Skyrim, Skyward Sword, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land and Saints Row: The Third (to name a few titles), it had next to no chance of getting noticed.

@RevolverLink That makes sense. That did seem very odd they'd release during that time. Perhaps they thought the Christmas period would be able to make up for the low profile release (in comparison to other releases in that period).

Unlike...well you already know what games I would be talking about...but unlike those other 3rd party titles, I think Origin has sold better after a while. It seems that way at least.

I should start playing Origins soon.

I should've worded that a little better, because obviously Origins has had some impressive legs since its rough start, thanks in no small part to positive word of mouth and, especially, the price drop; Legends probably wouldn't be happening if that wasn't the case. Ubisoft even came out earlier this year and said that Origins had started turning a profit for them.

I thought Origins sold the most on the Wii so this makes perfect sense. Especially since the Wii U features they are supporting will make it seem more like a must buy to those who are picking up the system at launch (rather than just another multi-platform port).

I think the game will sell really well if the Wii U is sold really well. Because this and AC3 could be amazing and the PS3 and XBOX 360 could be lagging behind!

Actually it sold best on PS3 followed by 360, Wii, Vita and the least .... Not ridiculously good sales because let's face it you can get more sales with a horrible movie tie-in but definitely better on the HD platforms than on Wii

I'm still desperate to be assured that this game will be playable in single-player without constant use of the touch-screen as shown in the co-op demo. The guy on the tablet looked to be doing some pretty fundamental gameplay stuff, I really hope that's not the control scheme necessary for single player. They wouldn't do that to me, would they?

Forgot to mention this game somehow when talking about games I'm looking forward to. That musical part of that level was pretty awesome.
