This is most likely impossible, but I'm gonna ask. You can't use an USB cable to just hook the Wii U up to the PC and use that hard drive can you?...I have a 1 TB hard drive for my computer, lol

Nope, because you have to format the drive for the Wii U to recognize it anyway. In which case your PC won't recognize it.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

If you have 2 hdds in it and you can find a way to actually plug usb, then it could be possibility. But if you are asking using the same drive for PC and U, it's out of the question

Wait a second, I forget exactly what it's called, but what if the hard drive is partitioned (?)? I think that's what it's called...I forgot all about that, don't think I can do it now though.

I assume the Wii U formatting would get rid of the partitions.

In any case you would be better having an HD for each, because if the drive fails you will lose both the PC files and the Wii U files, provided that it worked in the first place.
