I always clean my electronics with isopropyl alcohol . It evaporates quite quickly

I like using a little bit of soap and water to clean my screens and controllers. Soap can break down oils from fingerprints and be more effective than micro-fiber cloths

Well maybe before getting the thing WET you should have looked on Nintendo's site to see if the thing you did was stupid.

Getting it damp won't hurt it from the screen...

Heck Nintendo recommends cleaning controllers with a damp toothbrush

I don't tend to get more than just fingerprints on my gamepad screen so I don't even use water to clean it. A dry, clean microfiber cloth does the trick.

Damn Tasuki, it's all his fault! Sue him! >:[

oh man i love suing people for money.

Who sues for money these days? Sue people for tissues instead. My lawyer is so good, I have a closet full of them. You'd be surprised how much the people are willing to give away. Most of the time, I don't even have to go to court!

I'm almost certain you used too much water.

From Nintendo:

What to do:

Slightly dampen a soft, cotton cloth with water ONLY and wipe off the screen.

Using a dry portion of the same cloth, wipe the screen dry.

Using a loop of transparent tape, dab at any remaining dust or smudges.

Repeat if necessary.
