Depends if you're a veteran or not...I think people who played Freedom Unite had a much easier time with Ultimate's G-Rank. But with this being my first G game, G-Rank Arzuros took me out in seconds when I first stepped into those quests. (mainly because there were two of them and they would not leave each other, lol)
Also, don't underestimate Goldbeard, lol

Yea. G-rank A.Lagia and Alatreon are just easy mobs.

You must learn his attack patterns to maximize time spent hitting him. And you really must keep your weapon sharp. You NEED green sharpness for Qurupeco. If your weapon only maxes at yellow, upgrade it or buy something else. In fact, get the most powerful green sharpness weapon you can find. And KEEP IT GREEN. If it dulls to yellow, sharpen it asap. This affects a multiplier for damage dealt, and there is a huge jump between yellow and green because anything at yellow sharpness or below risks a random damage correction factor which means you could only deal 40% of the listed damage. Stay in the green.

Personally, dual blades dull too fast for noobs. Try something fast but that doesn't dull so quickly. A long sword would be perfect actually. You can try using a slower weapon like hammer or hunting horn, but be aware that those weapons take practice and skill to use efficiently. They're great once you master them, but I don't feel right recommending slower weapons to a noob. Long sword would be perfect. But whatever you do, DON'T use a SnS. Worst weapon in the game- this is generally agreed upon by the MH community. Keep using dual blades before switching to SnS. In fact, dual blades are a VERY good weapon, but you must learn to master the demon mode and you must keep them sharp though they dull quickly. If you ARE going to use a slower weapon, use a hunting horn and familiarize yourself with the best melodies. Use the Self-Improvement melody (present on ALL hunting horns) to buff yourself with attack deflection prevention. This way you won't bounce of Qurupeco's wings, which require blue sharpness or higher if I recall correctly.

Also, trap him as soon as he limps. This will cut out a great deal of time in the fight and possibly could mean the difference between succeeding or failing. Learn to hit, hit hit and dodge. Hit, hit, hit and dodge. What I mean is, avoid getting hit because it takes alot of time to get back up, not to mention time wasted drinking potions. It's better to stop a combo short and dodge roll, then keep on hitting him, then to get 2 extra hits in and get knocked on your belly. It all comes down to making sure you have the most powerful green sharpness weapon you can get right now, keeping it sharp, learning how to dodge so you can keep dealing damage without having to get up off the ground every 10 seconds, and learning to trap him as soon as he limps. Keep practicing, you'll get it. If anything you can start a low rank lobby and hunt online...

Didn't know that. Thanks.

One other tip I'll add is to make use of meals. They're cheap, and can be quite helpful, particularly "Feline Weakener" if you are having trouble with a monster.

Made it to High Rank this weekend. My hunt against the Purple Ludroth was particularly brutal...for the monster.

Felyne Weakener actually just makes the "Unstable" monster that spawns a weak one. Like in the low rank Qurupeco capture quest, he could call in a Rathian or G. Jaggi, but Weakener would just make it Jaggi only.
