hm...... what weapon are you using? maybe you just need to upgrade a little and bowguns require as much ammo as you can take with you to do any significant damage.

I'm using the bone dual blades, but I have just amassed enough ice crystals to make the jaggi dual blades which should help. Also I'm having an issues with my attacks bouncing off more times than they actually hit. I swear I'm hitting the same spot too
hm.... it's a kinda weak weapon. remember to always try to keep the sharpness in the green, activate the demon mode everytime you can and try your best to keep a short distance even after dodging
barrel bombs also help a lot with troublesome monsters
and aim mostly at the chest for Qurupeco

it has the beak and the tip of the wings but you won't get to hit the head with dual blades much(if at all) and the wings are pretty hard so you'll get your hits rebound a lot and waste sharpness

Key to beating him is interruption his calls. With sonic bonbs or times attacks. I beat him with the jaggi blades but prefer to use a switch axe or long sword as the impacts tend to affect that darn bird
The only reason I picked the dual blades is because the bigger weapons just feel sluggish to me, but I think I'll try out the switch axe or hammer,
Thanks for your help guys

then try the Long Sword it's a bit faster just remenber to chain the moves(x,x,a and repeat)or it will be a pretty slow weapon(there aren't any other combos in it, unless you count the spirit gauge combo)

Qurupeco is the first monster you fight where your weapon will most likely bounce off a lot. Mainly from his flints. (even when damaged) Another tip, go for his beak when possible (easier with larger weapons like the Great Sword), breaking it will make his dances and calls to take longer to pull off.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
oh yeah! try your best to stop the dances(keep hitting the chest or use a well timed sonic bomb) some dances will heal it.

I usually stock 2 or more of each weapon type. love some designs of every one(plus I'd never be a decent gunner without Demon's Island Bowgun, gotta love Crag Shot rapid fire)

Use switch axe. Sword mode OP. Just make sure you know when to reload and you're good. DS is only good late game. Early game it is kinda weak.
Eh, I love Giggi's Duals, though.
Weak. We all know Chum-Chum scarecrows are OP.
yup, paralyzing the monster 2-5 times in a single hunt is sure OP(I love it!)
