Its bad as well that if you pre-order you get loads of bonuses (Especially with the permanent multiplayer aspect).
Its not permant multiplayer. You have to turn on the ivasion mode in the options menu.
GameStop called me earlier about the game. Since I don't have to work tommorow plan to walk to GameStop once it opens and spend most of the day playing the game.
WAT!

I've sworn off all Ubisoft games since the glitch-fest known as Splinter Cell Blacklist. Looks like this game will be another cruddy third person game too!
(While typing this a Mario Kart 8 commercial just came on immediately following the 6pm news! I'm shocked! I've never seen a Nintendo commercial on this channel before at this time. Looks like they are taking this advertising push seriously!)
I'm really curious as to what all the hype is about for this game. All I've seen in the gameplay trailers are scripted events that would only really look cool if you played them exactly the way the developers wanted you to. (i.e. chasing a bandit a long way, being in exactly the right places when he does certain things, never shooting him down until the point they want you to, etc.) Reminds me of one of those trailers where they show off tons of cool events, only to realize that those were all the best parts of the movie. Just feels like a lot of manufactured hype to me...

Then everybody watches the movie, goes home, and complains about Michael Bay.

From what I've read and seen, there's at least as much optional use of hacking gameplay and its so frequent that cool stuff can happen quite often. I was a bit worried about that but it is apparently an incredibly solid mix of GTA, hacking and every Ubisoft Montreal game of the past few years, which is exactly what I thought it would be.
and yeah, it is manufactured hype, but to be fair, Ubisoft's early presentations for the game were essentially perfect. And let's be honest, we've spent the last while watching Nintendo selling F-Zero-like antigravity racing in Mario Kart like it's the most important thing to ever happen to racing video games.
