Topic: Question on Project Cars Wii U

As we all know Project Cars will be coming to the Wii U later this year and so far Slightly Mad Studious are pretty positive about the Wii U. Which I find perplexing.

Don't want to sound like a downer, but seriously why is S.M.S so positive about the Wii U? If you think about it the Wii U is actually the worst console to put this game on. The Wii U has No Analog triggers/buttons and does not have Driving Wheel support, 2 main factors that is essential to a driving simulator.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still very excited for this game and I will be getting it for my Wii U. It's just that while all 3rd party devs and bashing and ignoring the U (whom has games that will totally be awesome on the Wii U), the positive attitude of S.M.S just make me scratch my head. Could it be Nintendo is secretly working with them to make a new controller or driving wheel?

Need for speed most wanted managed fine without either, so that's kind of an invalid point. And any 3rd party that is poitive about the WiiU is a welcome addition, especially if they're working hard to make the WiiU version look as good as it can be.

Did you even bother to read the thread?

As for the the question posed by the OP, I honestly don't know and that's something only Slightly Mad Studios could answer. What I do know is that it would not benefit them at all to speak negatively about a platform that they have plans to release a game on.

I've seen gamers choose not to purchase a game for very meticulous reasons and I imagine Wiii U owners or Nintendo supporters in general wouldn't be as enthusiastic about their game if they chose to talk down on the system as many devs have chosen to do recently. 3rd parties are having enough trouble appealing to Wii U owners right now so shooting themselves in the foot and creating an even bigger barrier wouldn't make sense from a business standpoint.

NFSMW does not need those because it is just a flat out arcade racer (meaning the driving physics are unrealistic). AFAIK, project cars is aiming to be a realistic car sim. If you're a person who loves racing sims and a motor racing enthusiast like me, you'll know going flat out after a corner is going to make your car spin like a merry go round (with traction control off obviously) and because the Wii U controllers are all digital, the throttle response will be either 100% or 0% and the same applies to braking.

Which comes back to my original question, if Nintendo does not come out with a new controller how are we going to play this game? It is either going to be "gimped" (As in not so realistic), or they have something in mind. Curious really.

@MAN1AC I did actually and thought to myself this question could have been posted in the thread for the game it is talking about doesn't really need a whole thread of its own.
