Basically, what do you want from Nintendo's new console? (besides specific games, we already have a thread for that)

I'll start by giving my list:

• HD Graphics
• A reasonable price
• No lame gimmicks or at least gimmicks that can be easily ignored
• More and better games from Third Parties

And that's about it. Not a long list, and most of those are pretty much assured at this point.

Anyways, what do you guys want?

BTW, I feel like I worded the thread incorrectly. If anyone else has any idea on how to word it better, I'd love to hear it.

'what i want from Project Cafe' would probably fit as a title, i think. :3

Under $300
Controller that resembles that of the Cube, no motion Controls
Has the ability to connect with Wiimotes.
3DS Connectivity with the ability to play 3DS games on the TV without 3D
Strong Online features similar to Xbox Live only free of charge
Blu-Ray
A built in Microwave and Mini-fridge

Sounds good to me. Done and done.

How about a coffee machine?

• HD a given, I guess.
• Some 3D support (not as a focus- but 3D circuitry as Gamecube had)
  Good gimmicks
• Solid launch line-up, as in, "Don't let 3rd parties run amuck and plague the line up with poor titles" but with Nintendo's current strategy, it's bound to happen.
• Solid games and support from 3rd parties in general. That doesn't mean saturate the system with shooters, though. At least take the genre further, sheesh _{Same old, same old with them}
• Good online system
• Clever connectivity with 3DS/DS
• Smash Bros. be the flagship title of the console
• Able to use Wii Remote+Nunchuk as an optional controller for certain games
• Gamecube controller support, or at least have the standard Café controller function similarly to GCN's controller
• Backwards compatibility with all GCN and Wii titles

That's all I can think of now.

I just want some wonderful HD graphics and the regular controller that works so well for a reason. Oh and a better online experience is a given.
I know it'd be "just like the Xbox 360 and and PS3", but what those two consoles don't have are the inspiring games that Nintendo has. Games are what make a system in my opinion. I know I could go out and buy another system for the graphics and whatnot, but I want my Mario, Zelda, Kid Icarus, Starfox, Pikmin, F-Zero, Wave Race and everything else all in the most beautiful way possible. And being able to have the great multi-platform titles come to that same system would be awesome too.

Really?! I agree with everything else you've said. I cannot understand people who cling to the GCN like a drowning man to a piece of driftwood. I never really cared for the controller that much. And, personal tastes aside, it's a new system. Get over it. Adapt to new controllers or keep playing your old consoles.

Honestly, I just hope that what we think we know about the system isn't true. I don't like what I've seen so far from the rumors.

• Ability to transfer all Wii Shop downloads and Miis to the new console
• 2 SD card slots instead of 1
• For the controller to not only have a touch screen, but a mic, camera, motion controls (with a pointer sticking out of it) and a slot to charge with the DSi/3DS charger
• Have a new extra "Remote" controller so Wii-styled motion games don't go away entirely
• 3DTV support, not as a major feature, but an minor extra for people with 3DTVs since Nintendo has the 3DS and all
• Gamecube games, either have the system compatible with GC discs, or put GC games on the new console's VC and allow use of Wavebird's wireless GC controller for those as well as Wii games that work with GC controller, just don't leave GC behind entirely
• Allow up to at least 1,000 Miis in the main Mii hub
• LAN
• For the VC to get 3-4 games weekly on its first year again to help re-promote the VC

It's just a personal preference. I'm not going to die if there's no GCN controller support. I'm not a psycho.

I adapt to a lot of things. Including the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, something lots of people complain about. I think you should address those people- not me.

A better name than Wii 2 or Project Cafe.
