it wouldn't work.... killing Pokémons is not really a choice... unless they made a crazy setting like the world being in chaos and evil Pokémon called whatever shadow something that are made of some strange enegy(that is aren't real living beings but tools of evil made of useful materials) so you have to use "real" pokémon as your partners in a great hunt to save the world using the unknown materials from the fake ones to make your weapons...

its a lot better idea than hyrule warriors. I wont judge extensively, but the dynasty warriors subgenre is dull and unimaginative compared to other concepts out there.

I was thinking that maybe you accumulate Pokemon as helpers and then you fight the normal monsters. They could also make collecting the Pokemon interesting ie. Maybe you have to rescue some of them and then battle others into submission (like in normal Pokemon games).
Maybe there can be some bonus monsters in other games as some of the bigger legendaries like Groudon and Rayquaza, and you only have the option to catch them with a Pokeball which is thrown in the same way as a paint ball, but you only have like a 10% chance of it working per ball when the Pokemon is exhausted? You won't be able to break parts from them, but you get a bonus from catching them like a unique weapons/armour of the Pokemon caught or just a big money bonus. That could work for DLC or a late-game mission, but not for an enitre game.
Outside of that, something small like armour and weapons based on some of the most popular Pokemon like Pikachu, Charizard and Lucario would be cool.
