I'm not sure if this was already posted or if this is posted in the right section in which case I apologize on both accounts. I have been sitting down and thinking that "dang I wish we had a new Pokemon Stadium game" and what better time than on the Wii-U. Now there was a rumor about it before and that is what sparked my interest about it even more on top of playing Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 recently on my N64. So here are some things that I came up with.
1. It is way over due for an anniversary of both titles, but that would have been nice.
2. Bring back the ability to use your Pokemon cartridge in the game. So they would ship out an adapter that you would put in the SD slot or USB. This way you could use any of the DS / 3DS games like we were able to do with our Gameboy Color versions.
3. Allow us to battle people online through the Miiverse
4. Allow us to use every single pokemon in the Pokemon universe, but the kicker would be you would choose a region and can only pick from those Pokemon to make your party for battles. This would bring variety and strategic gameplay.
5. Allow us to battle people on their 2DS / 3DS while you are using your Wii-U.
6. Bring all the mini games from the first Pokemon Stadiums back in Pokemon Stadium 3.
That is all I have right now. If you have something to add please feel free! If I come up with anything else I will definitely add it!

I don't think a new Stadium game is worthwhile anymore, the main draw in the Stadium games was seeing your Pokemon battle in 3D on your TV, and now that the main games are in 3D, the appeal in having a game that is nothing more than a series of tournaments is diminished. They'd need a game with more substance now.

Communication with the 6th gen games is to be expected, and you don't need an adapter for them to connect. The 3DS can communicate with the Wii U wirelessly.
4. Allow us to use every single pokemon in the Pokemon universe, but the kicker would be you would choose a region and can only pick from those Pokemon to make your party for battles. This would bring variety and strategic gameplay.
Again, being able to use all 721 Pokemon is to be expected, and being restricted to only one region's Pokemon is unnecessarily restrictive.

This is true, that is what really sold it for us back on the N64 days. However some didn't get to experience it back then and some may REALLY want to see it return. It wasn't so much the tournaments that appealed to me personally. It was fun, but I loved the mini games
So? Games age, that doesn't mean we need an anniversary for every single one, and Stadium doesn't have the relevance to be celebrated.
I agree we don't need anniversaries for every game, but this goes back to what I said about people not being able to play or some really wanting to see it return.

Oh haha, see I don't know that since I don't have the Wii-U

I figured this wouldn't be liked very much, and its understandable. If its restricted by region or not there is still going to be some form strategic gameplay. The reason I say to do region restriction is because just like in some of the other Pokemon games you can't get certain Pokemon in them from the previous ones.

That doesn't really add to the "strategy", in fact that might take away from it in some cases.

No, you can put any Pokemon that existed at the time onto any game, you just can't catch them all with one game. If they said "you're only allowed to use this set of Pokemon in the game and never any more", people wouldn't like that.
i could potentially see some type of pokemon stadium coming out for the wii u, but i think this pokemon rumble game is probably the closest you will ever get.
I think the best thing they could do for a Pokemon Stadium type game would be Pokemon Rancher. Let Tecmo Koei take another swing at the Pokemon franchise like they did with Pokemon Conquest. This time, they basically take Monster Rancher and Pokemon and smash them together. Anyone who has ever played Monster Rancher will know why this would work so well. You raise/breed your Pokemon on a ranch, training them with certain activities to raise certain stats, you can go explore old ruins/forest and what not. Then there are ranked Pokemon fights in an arena.
...this would be such a good game. If I could have any series mash up it would be this. We haven't had a good Monster Rancher game in what feels like ages. Same goes for a good console Pokemon game.
Only appeal to the hardcore fans. I mean what happens if you don't own X & Y and your force to use rental Pokémon with terrible stats, moves, nature, and ability's you don't want.

Then they don't buy it. "Oh no, now I might have to get something other than every Nintendo sequel ever made ever, woe is me." Not every game that comes out needs to appeal to everyone.
My idea for Pokemon Stadium 3 is for them to make Pokemon Stadium 3.
my idea for Pokémon Stadium 3 is to bring back the minigames, I spent more time on that with my friends and family than actually having battles....

Well if they made the adapter for DS or 3DS games to work on the Pokemon Stadium 3 then you could go WAY back and use other pokemon. However I was told that you can connect your 3DS via wifi or something to the Wii-U so the adapter may not be needed. I don't have a Wii-U so Im not familiar with some features haha.
But if you don't have any Pokemon games from the DS or 3DS than yeah you would have to use the rental Pokemon which can stink, but that would motivate people to go out any buy the Pokemon games to play, build a party and then bring it over to the Pokemon Stadium 3 games.
Its a long shot for this to happen, but I would buy it in a heart beat and Pokemon is very popular so I think it will sell well!

I always felt that the rental Pokémon in the stadium games were what made them good. I am one of those people who likes the competitive play but doesn't want to deal with the grind of leveling up, breeding, and EV training a bunch of Pokémon (which is absolutely necessary in competitive online play and makes me want to Pokemine eyes out). While I do agree that the rental Pokémon in stadium 1 and 2 had many flaws, they could all be easily fixed. For stadium 3 the Pokémon could just be customizable (pick 4 moves from their respective move pools, abilities, etc.). Stadium 3 could include the Full roster of Pokémon, have online play (for both mini games and competitive battles), and be far more appealing than Pokémon X and Y graphically.
btw: I know this does not have to do with the topic but Pokémon Snap 2 should also be made for the WiiU (like 75% of the controller can already be used as a camera's Viewfinder).

I don't really see how that's possible. Nintendo games tend to not look that much better in HD, that wouldn't really make up for no adventure elements.
It isn't supposed to make up for the adventure elements, this is a stadium game. Also, you can't tell me that Mario 3d land looks just as good as Mario 3d world.
