Topic: Points with each game you buy?

Hi there!

I've read that with your premium (32gb) Wii U you get points with each game you purchase, and that 500 points is something like 5€ on the eShop. How do I get those points? I bought my premium Wii U a year ago and I only got Nintendo Club "starts", which I think is not the same.

Go the the Digital Deluxe Promotion website and log in with your Nintendo Network ID and password. Once you sign in, there will be 5€ codes for you to redeem if you've gotten enough points. It will tell you how many points you have and how many more you need to get a 5€ code.

I recently redeemed the points I earned from my digital copies of WWHD and Pikmin 3, but it seems to not count the 9€ I spent for Retro City Rampage, so I'm not receiving any points for it. Anyone knows why or had a similar issue? Cause there doesn't seem to be any kind of restrictions according to the site, so I really don't know what could be wrong.

If you bought the game within the past 24 hours then it won't show up. If it's been longer, look up the reciecpt on the eShop under your activity. Give Nintendo a ring and give them the details, they should be able to sort it.

Ok, I'll try then! Thank you
EDIT: I took a closer look at the restrictions and eventually found that 3DS eShop purchases don't count, unfortunately. Don't know if it's the same in the US, but it appears to be restricted to Wii U games here.

@clvr the promotion is for games on the eshop and does not include games from the wii shop channel.

The only thing I noticed is that the points you should recieve for 1€ depending on your country isn't the same as I've been recieving. But I got three codes already so I don't mind.
