Why would anyone want Metal Mario? I guess people love clones...Oh and while I'm at it, I don't even know why Metal Mario has been in previous installments of the Mario games. Mario Tennis Open, Mario Kart 7 just to say a couple. It makes me mad that a new character could have taken that spot and would have been unique.

I seriously doubt he'll be in it, but I would like Quote from Cave Story in SSB4. The different weapons, like the Blade, Bubbler and Fireball would make for a great, unique character!

I've been looking at character wishlist on youtube all day and you know what too many people are asking for third party characters. Most of them are sonic charachters, tails knukles, shadow, silver, sonic is good enough thank you (needs a major move set change). Then people want toad and mickey mouse to be playable. I can't see that happening. People also want goku, naruto, etc. got nothin against them, I just think smash bros should be video game characters only. I did see shulk, paper mario, ghirihim, magnus, bowser jr. and others that pleased me.

Mmm, and just because you two lack a personal preference for one particular character, it should definitely get itself banished from the game. Your opinions indisputably represent that of all the Mario Kart 7 players across the globe, I'm sure.

I just want to see a larger representation of all of Nintendo's properties. I'd like to see Saki from Sin and Punishment, Little Mac from Punch Out and Tom Nook from Animal Crossing. Yeah, the last one would be hard to make moves out of, but Mr. Game and Watch is in there.
EDIT: Why would we need Metal Mario when one can simply grab a metal box and make Mario metal? Seems kind of redundant to me.

Guess what? Metal mario has already been in every entry in the smash bros series! In fact, if you make a metal special brawl, then everyone becomes metal!

Some people may find that they are better suited to the properties of when character when brawling, and not just as a temporary power-up with less efficiency than the actual character. I've never played Super Smash Bros. before, but this seems rather logical.

I don't see how it's hard to come up with some moves for Tom Nook
B = slingshot (hold down button to shoot up to 3 shots at once and to shoot farther)
side B = watering can (makes people slip)
down B = traps you in a bug net for a little while
Up B = Fishing Rod (used to hook onto ledges and grab onto enemies)

Side smash = axe (may break and do no damage)
down smash = Traps whoever he hits in a pit
Up smash = swings a heavy bag of bells upward

Final Smash = Leaf Storm - Makes a bunch of leaves come down from above and they transform into heavy furniture which rains down on everybody

Anyone got any better ones? Those were all the moves I could think of that would suit Tom Nook

Let's see (note: I have not read any comments in this forum before posting. Therefore, if it looks like I'm copying one's ideas, I truly am not.)

As for characters returning, I'd like to see the whole cast of Brawl, sans Toon Link and Marth. They could also return Mewtwo, Pichu, Dr. Mario, and Roy (even though Pichu and Dr. Mario seem very unlikely).

As for new characters:

Wouldn't mind seeing another Sonic character, such as Knuckles, Shadow, Blaze, or Silver (and I know this is also unlikely).

For example, let's say Shadow would become playable, and these would be his Specials:

Neutral B: Chaos Spear (electrical damage, also stuns opponents.) This could be more powerful the longer the charge is held.
Side B: Chaos Control. Shadow would warp through characters, stunning them.
Down B: Tornado Kick. Shadow would do his spin kick move from Sonic '06 and the more it's performed, the higher the damage and suction.
Up B: Spring. Similar to Sonic, but with the rusted style from the Shadow the Hedgehog game; can be angled.
Final Smash: Chaos Blast - Shadow warps to the center of the stage and unleashes a huge explosion. The closer his opponents are, the more damage they take.

As for other Nintendo characters, I wouldn't mind seeing a 5th generation Pokemon (such as Zoroark (I think that's how it's spelled) or some other one...), Magnus from Kid Icarus: Uprising, or Dixie Kong (apparently she was planned for Brawl but that never came to be). I'm sure there's others as well; I just can't quite think of them.

I still can't see how tom nook could work. He's a lover not a fighter.
