I've been looking at some of the screenshots for pikmin 3. But I didn't see any of the purple pikmin or the white pikmin. Will they be returning, or are the rock pikmin replacing the purple pikmin? I really want to know! Thanks if you left an answer.

Do not worry, Purple and White Pikmin are back.

If you look closely at the end of the video you'll see both colors, so yes, they'll still be there.

Avian fact of the week: The Moa, an extinct relative of ostrichs and emus that inhabited New Zealand, was the tallest bird that ever lived at 12 ft tall (3.6 m). It was also the only known bird to have no wing structure.

Yes, but that's a different subject.

The current colors are sure to stay. I'm sure there will be other colors, too, but I didn't see any pink ones. At the end of the first(or second?), there was tons of different colored onions trying to follow Olimar back to Hoctate. That has nothing to do with the gameplay obviously, but it is interesting I suppose, for ones they could add...

That was the best answer I got. Thanks!

they announced whit and purple would be in the game when they showed the first footage of the game at E3 2012. on Nintendos website the description clearly stated that the five original pikmin types would be returning. i dont get why everyone is making such a big deal if they are in the game. we all should have known this 8 months ago

Don't worry, I'll use my mind powers to lock the thread.
Edit: Darn it. My powers aren't what they used to be.
Edit 2: Still buffering...
Edit 3: Eventually...

You failed... but it's interesting I'm sure I remember somewhere hearing they'd be included but I keep forgetting whether it was real or I just imagined it... So thanks for the video and confirmation!

Well you don't really have to, I was only joking. The fact we were going on about was somebody brought the thread back up when the question was already answered.
