I thinks it's the best game of the series. The graphics, audio, and overall better presentation just sell it more for me.

I did fine with the Wii remote+(I think it actually gives more control) and GamePad combo.

This game is more reminiscent of the first game's do or die kinda mentality, while still retaining more freedom that you have from the second game in the types of things you can do.

You can tell the Wii U is a pretty powerful console just by looking at the last level's background. Those are the sort of things people are saying Wii U can't do, but it's right there.

That's a good point. And I know it sounds a bit specific, but the close-up rotations of the different fruits are pretty astounding. Ha! But seriously ... take some time to look at those puppies. Amazing fidelity on those strawberries

All joking aside, the graphics in the game do show what the console is capable of, even so early in its lifespan. I hope more people take notice and more developers really give it a chance.

The direction they went with P3 makes it more accessible to newcomers more than hardcore fans. This is my first Pikmin game and all the things you lot say are missing sound like they don't add much to the overall package... People that prefer iPhone/tablet games would be turned off by those mentioned gimmicks

I've played the first Pikmin and somewhat of the 2, and this is definitely the best Pikmin game ever. As a hardcore Fire Emblem fan, I'll say Pikmin 3 is to Pikmin what Awakening is to Fire Emblem. You have your story mode, your concept replayability and competitive play. Anytime you want to play some Pikmin, you'll get back to it.

The only thing you can't do with the Wii remote+ is free control the camera. You have the Z button to center the camera behind the character. It's my prefered, so I don't understand the complaints.

When you lock onto an enemy, you can aim freely with the Wii remote, so that can give more accuracy to your throws in combat if the target is moving.

What a disappointment...I tried getting my friends to play bingo battle yesterday, but none of them really wanted to take the time to learn how to play the game (what...maybe it takes like 5 minutes to figure out how to play bingo battle decently?), so they all kind of gave up in the middle of the round and I never really got to play a full game. It's times like this where I wish the game could be online! Oh well, at least I still have mission mode to keep me occupied. I can't get a platinum medal in the second collect the fruit challenge! That one's pretty hard

Yeah, that happens to me a lot, especially since I'm considered "too good" at Pikmin by lots of my friends.

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke!

SPOILERS, I guess, lol...

....So I'm being chased by some creepy blob thing. xD
I'm guessing I'm near the end of the game huh? (unless there's more to it or something)

Was wondering, are there any hidden bosses in the game or have I basically went through them all?
EDIT: ...Fine don't space out the spoiler warning then, stupid forum...lol

Well it depends...I don't know what bosses you've fought. I guess all of the mini bosses could technically pass as hidden since you don't need to defeat them to beat the game. This includes the burrowing snagret, shaggy long legs, bug-eyed crawmads, and the calcified crushblat.

Well, if you have discovered 100% of the map, there are probably no hidden bosses.

It seemed like you would run into them all eventually in the main game, so I wasn't sure. Ah well...

So no spoilers, but is there a different ending if you get all of the fruit? If so, I wont fight the last boss until I get all the fruit first.
