Topic: Picking up AC4?

What do you guys think of Ac4? Worth picking it up for the Wii u or is it just a watered down verison?

I don't think we have really seen enough from the Wii U version. I'll be picking it up for Wii U to support 3rd party games on Nintendo consoles.

I think it will be a fine version. I'm not really an AC fan anymore so I will not be picking it up.

I also dont fear that its not any good and im sure to pick it up this year but not directly at launch

It wont be watered down at all. I think it will be just like Watch Dogs. Better than the 360/ps3 but not better than next gen. Sure it doesn't get the dlc but who cares Ac dlc always sucks. It's going to be an expensiv week. Batman. AC 4, and Cod Ghosts

I'll get it because I've gotten all the console ACs so far, why stop now?

Seriously, "50 hour" pirate game on my Nintendo, sold. Also it has the dual screen map thing, which could be really helpful for this type of game.

I really wanted this game for Wii U but since it was announced there will be no DLC for Wii U version. With no DLC and the same price tag as other consoles I don't know if I'm picking it up now.....

I still have to play AC3 which I bought this summer when it was on special. Just picked up Batman Arkham city and Need for speed: Most wanted on amazon for $40. I will have some many game on my back log that I can wait a few months when AC4 will drop to less then $40. I don't think it's worth paying $60 when you can just wait till January for a price drop.

DLC is not really a deal breaker. If you complete AC4 do you really want DLC that will put you back in the same world you just spent way to many hours completing. When, there so many other games to be played. It's only a watered down if you own a PS4 or Xbox One. You can claim that the graphic are better on those systems, but as WiiU owners we'd have to spend another $500 in order to get the better version. I'd rather pay $60($40-50 that game will get a price drop before the end of the year) and enjoy AC4 on WiiU. Wait for a price drop before picking up a PS4 or Xbox One.

Didn't it come out that AC4 will have extra exclusive content only for PS3/PS4? If thats true then... D:

The best version that you can get is the PS4 version (which I will be getting). I believe that there is like an extra 30 mins game play compared to the other versions.

As for the Wii U I believe it will be the same version as the Xbox 360 and PS3.

AC4 will take at least 20 hours to complete, 50-60 if you want 100% completion. The WiiU version as exclusive gamepad control I wouldn't be worried if any of the other versions have some extra content because those are simply marketing ploy and don't really add much to the overall experience of the game.

If your getting a PS4 and Xbox one, you shouldn't even be wasting your time posting on this forum. 3rd Party game will always be better on those two systems.

Even people who aren't AC fans have been praising the ship gameplay as something amazing. What little was in 3 was fantastic, so I'm really pumped for that.

Wii U version will get no DLC. So I'll probably wait until I pick up the PS4.

I bet if AC4 sells well enough they will "update" the game to support DLC.

Not entirely correct, it will have all the day one/release date DLC but there will be no post launch DLC. I'm still getting it cause the main character is Welsh

Not until it's on sale in the eShop. Ubisoft IP is never really must-buy or day-one for me, but I do enjoy it in small doses. Lack of DLC really has no bearing on my decision, as I've never played a Ubisoft game where I was hungry for more after completing the game.

Nah, I'm not picking it up. After AC:Brotherhood I've had enough of the series, and it feels really stale to me now.

I'm sure the Wii U version will be fine. Though if I was going to get it, I'd get the PC version, as in general i prefer multiplats on PC.
