My bad. I keep thinking 2 is episode 2 from 6th gen...
Anyway, it's possible, but maybe it would be better to hold out until we see X from Monolith Soft. They look similar, IMO.
I'm not sure if X has online, but it most likely will. Either way, I don't see why not.

Actually, I think a game like PSO 2 would be better off left out of the Wii U library.
Sega COULD release the game on Wii U, but doing so would result in one of them not doing so well. I would bet that PSO would go unnoticed over a Nintendo game like X.
This is assuming X has online, BTW.
Do you know the seven games Sega is realising to the wii u this year and next year
Sonic: Lost World, Mario and Sonic at the 2014 Olympics, and there is still one that has not been confirmed.
They said there would be one more exclusive besides the the ones I mentioned.
Also, Yakuza 1 & 2 HD are launching in Japan, but I'm not sure where you heard 7 games from Sega are coming.
EDIT: Castle of Illusion is most likely one of the seven, too.
Phantasy Star Online 2 wouldn't go unnoticed its to good of a game and a bog title and there too many Sega fans on Wii U Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing Transformed sold 3million units on Wii u so there's no doubt that PSO2 wouldn't sell it would blast Wii u sales to the roof
@Skyfox2000
I still don't think PSO 2 is likely on Wii U. X by Monolith Soft would probably steal thunder from PSO, because they are very similar.
It would be Sega vs. Nintendo all over again.
PSO likely has more fans, but X can appeal overall.
They're similar games, so I think PSO 2 would be better off staying on PC and Vita.
I for one, would rather get X over PSO 2, but we hardly know anything about the size of X's overworld size, or features in the game.
I wouldn't get both, either.

With SEGA"s Anocement of Seven Wii U games Phantasy Star Online has about 80% chance with the petitions on the internet to bring it to Wii U I see where your coming from with SEGA VS NINTENDO thing but Monolift Soft said that X will release in 2014 when is the question PHO2 is releasing at the end of 2013
Why do you say PSO2 should just stay on Vita and PC and Not Wii U that SEGA is Supporting big time

There are 3 games that are similar. This is my opinion, BTW.
X, PSO 2, and Monster Hunter. One of which is already out(MH3Ultimate), and Monster Hunter is more similar to PSO 2 than X, but PSO 2 is more similar to X than Moster Hunter(more modern).
The only one that stands out most, is X. The ways that X is different are:
1. Bigger world
2. You can do more in X
3. The graphics on X would probably look better than a PSO 2 port
Big name companies know when to stay away from a market that already has a similar experience, and X would undoubtedly beat either of those games gameplay wise.
Just wanted to say, AGAIN, that this is my opinion. This might be a crappy explanation, but I don't see Sega releasing PSO 2, because there is already a similar game out(MH4 also is going to be in Japan), and X arguably beats both of those games.
X also has more story, and multiplayer seems to be in the works anyway. Not that there's any confirmation of that...
What I'm Saying is PSO2 Could help out Sega and Nintendo scence Wii U needs more third party support and and to keep Sega from going bankrupt
I see gamers would buy both X and PSO2
