I really hope Nintendo isn't making another Paper Mario. Not because I dislike the franchise, but because the "fans" don't deserve it. All I've heard is complaints since Super Paper Mario, and people calling for a game like TYD. If you like TYD so much, then go play TYD. Intelligent Systems obviously cannot please fans and obviously should not try.

Until Sticker Star came out and became exhibit A on why fan's opinions should matter sometimes.

Gameplay-wise, I do want...not just the first 2 game's battle system but something like, something that expands it. But mainly, I want the writing back. The GCN and Wii Paper Marios are 2 of the best written games out there arguably, and I want that back. It was so good.

I do want another installment in the Mario RPG series, but I do want it to be a real RPG pls. Funny story and all.

I enjoyed Sticker Star. I did so because I appreciated it as a game, not as an installment in a series. Sticker Star is a good game; it's unique and interesting, the gameplay is fun and I enjoyed the game as a whole. No, perhaps it was not a good Paper Mario game, but it was a good game by itself. However, with the amount of complaining it received, and the amount of criticism Super Paper Mario received, along with the call for a game that is exactly like TYD, I truly believe Intelligent Systems should just end the series.

I did play Super Paper Mario, it had its moments (the story and being able to alter the dialogue by changing the active character) but the gameplay ended up really boring me.

One of the chapters was so bad it got erased from existence and hijacked by the next one mid-chapter.

No, and yes, I guess; I'm saying Intelligent Systems shouldn't make the mistake of making another Paper Mario game. They should instead focus on something people will embrace instead of boycott.

I think Paper Mario fans may have the "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." mindset going by this point as well. Will fans really trust a new Paper Mario game to be a clone of TYD?I mean, logically speaking, IS has no room for any alterations of TYD, but they would have to find something new to make it interesting. It's more logical for IS to not make a new installment, in the end.

As long as it's not like Sticker Star, I'll be happy.

Yeah....I want a new one, but at the same time the "fan" don't need one. Even with the flaws, I enjoyed Sticker Star and SPM. Everyone just acts like they're the worst games ever made in gaming history.

I haven't played it, but, Super Paper Mario is just like the first two games, except was in 2D/3D and didn't have turned-base battles. Of course, the fans cried and complained because it wasn't a rehash of the first two games. Also, I'm not a Paper Mario fan, but I think Sticker Star is one of the worst games I've ever played. Some much **** is wrong with that game, it's not even funny.

I've only played the N64 Paper Mario on the VC. It's a good game, I'd like to try out TTYD, but you know, no VC for GCN games. If there's a Paper Mario game coming to the Wii U, I'd be looking forward to it. Maybe's they'll make us draw our items to use them.

After a Luigi Mansion release for the Wii U popped up at multiple retailers and nothing happened, I'm not biting.

Really, nintendo wouldn't randomly deliver this kind of info exclusively to Walmart for no good reason.

It's has a 90% probability of being a mistake or fake.

Before I was only able to praise SPM's gameplay style without comparisons. Now I've played TTYD, and I can definitively say that a new Paper Mario needs to take Super's action approach. I don't like all the waiting I had to do in TTYD between attacks of enemies I knew I could beat. I mean, if I'm facing a Goomba, I don't want to go through a 5 minute battle, I want to beat it and get it over with. I don't get how people found SPM's system more boring that the previous entries. I get that there's more strategy, but that's only with the toughest enemies. In that regard it makes sense SPM has pretty unremarkable bosses, but at the same time, regular enemies were about 10 times more fun. If you want the heavy strategy, you should be asking them to just take the series full tactical RPG or SRPG, where every battle is challenge.

Also, SPM refined 2D Mario platforming better than any actual 2D Mario Platformer. It understands that face buttons are usually a "one at a time" thing unless you simply don't have another choice for input.

If it took you that long to defeat a Goomba, you were doing it wrong.

Not to mention there are badges that automatically "kill" weaker enemies upon contact.
