And why shouldn't people complain? The Thousand Year Door was an amazing game, got great reviews, and ever since then, each new game in the series has seen the formula been dumbed down in a big, BIG way. This looks like it plays identical to Sticker Star, which was no longer even in the same genre as the two GOOD PM games, so should we just be happy they made a new game in a series we are fond of? Don't think so.
Definitely agree with this, I am stunned they would consider making a follow up for what amounts to a black stain on the franchise.
Guess the itty bitty kiddies need more hand holding and less (i.e. zero) JRPG elements.
@Yellowkoopa: you post negatively about everything dude, I'm just the one pointing it out. I mean can you honestly re-read your comment and say that it was 'a little negativity'. Because if the answer to that is "yes" I'd love to see one of your comments with 'a lot' of negativity. Pleeeeeeease?
What can be more negative than "dead"? Lol. Hyperbole much?
@Waluigi: Can we fix the title? That's going to drive me crazy!
Anyways, looks really good and I'm glad they finally decided to continue the series on consoles. Looks like the Wii U may go out with a bang after all.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
xD My bad, I went right from the Direct to making dinner, I didn't even notice my mistake! Thanks for calling me out on it, even if Paper Mayo would be the superior title.

It LOOKS cool, but I don't think it's what I was hoping. Perhaps the rest of the game needs polishing and theiy're waiting to show something with more substance, but at this point in time it seems too simple and leaves a certain amount of character to be desired.
As I said elsewhere, it's a shame this seems to be Sticker Star like in terms of characters, since the environments look great:
In a game with a lot of original characters and new ideas, this would be a great series of locations. But no, seems like it's gone the Sticker Star route...
I can't express my disappointment in a proper fashion. PM and TTYD are two of my favorite games ever, and SPM was near their level while being something new. I haven't finished the last level of Sticker Star yet, but I will eventually. I guess that just shows how interesting the game is. Sticker Star is a decent game, but it would have been better as a one-off experiment or not a Paper Mario game.
I have heard many people say to wait and see before judging this game. Well, I see no partners, only Toads and Peach as NPCs, and a world map. Naturally, it looks like Sticker Star 2.

He's saying it's music from a game announced about ten minutes ago. Guess what? It isn't. It's actually stolen from a fan made Paper Mario soundtrack with Color Splash's logo slapped on:

Busted!
Nintendo stole somebody work? That can't be true. Nintendo is usually the last company to steal people work.
Oh God, it's Sticker Star 2, isn't it? Look, I'm seeing people here that say they liked Sticker Star, and if you do, great! You clearly see something in it that I don't, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! But still...this is just a letdown. I mean, it basically looks like Sticker Star 2.0. They've got that stupid battle system from Sticker Star going on again, the only npcs they've shown are Toad, it looks like we're going back to the generic environments, and it looks like Bowser is the main villain AGAIN. I know, I know. I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Maybe it'll surprise me and be great, have a grand story, some unique characters and environments, maybe even some partners! But in all honesty, I am REALLY not liking what I'm seeing, and as it stands, there is now way in Hell I'm paying for this. And before you go on saying that I only hate it because it's not like Thousand Year Door, I LOVED Super Paper Mario. It's probably my second-favorite game in the series! I am just dissapointed because it looks like a sequel to the game that basically took away everything that was great about Paper Mario...the game looks beautiful, though. I'll give it that.
