Topic: Pac man, Sonic, Metroid, Mega Man, Mario Karts

I don't want DLC unless it's done expansion style. I have zero tolerance for the nickle and diming model that you see with most DLC.

One of the things I like about Mario Kart 8 is that a lot of the vehicle options and characters don't seem to have serious impact on the ability to win races: player ability and tactical use of special weapons that everyone has access to are key. This naturally lends itself to being able to have loads of DLC because you're almost talking about a skin here so it's not game-changing like adding a new character with a full set of moves to a game like Smash Bros.

I'm all for it and despite being called "Mario Kart" I don't see why non-Mario characters couldn't be in there - heck my Mii is racing! Anyway it's just for fun, so who cares if Samus or Link turned up for a go? Given the seemingly universal appeal of Mario Kart it would look like a good gateway to promoting other games by having those characters present. In that case free DLC might make sense. Time it to give people an excuse to keep going online. Can't see why Nintendo wouldn't do that...

So if I purchase a Plessie! Figure I can have him in Mk8? Do I have to purchase a car big enough to hold him too?
