Hi, been trying to play online Black Fl
ag. It will connect to the server but quite soon after I get the following message " you have been disconnected from host
". Any ideas why? I have tried wireless and wired connection but the same result. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a poor internet signal. My ps3 works ok online but not my lovely Wii U.

Can you browse on the net with your Wii U?

Yes, You Tube works fine and downloads have been ok. Black Flag and AC 3 are the only online games we have, both get the same message. On one occasion a game actually started but this message appeared and game ended after a couple of minutes. Thanks for replying.

Have you tried using a manual connection?

If by that you mean wired yes I have.

Do you have any other online games? Black Flag and AC3 are using Ubisoft servers and they are known for disconnecting during the busy time including checking to see you have legit game for DRM reasons.

No, got no other online games. That
thought did cross my mind. Having said that the player list never seems to get more than four online gamers.

Not wired. When you're setting up a connection, hit manual and type in all the details. When you have connection problems, this can pretty often fix yer problems.

Could be Ubisoft ditching online support for ACIV, lol

Im starting to wonder if anyone is actually playing any form of AC online. Got Black Flag at Christmas and always had the same problem
. In terms of online play could someone define the term "host". Would it be who started the game? Cos thats who or what is bombing me out of the game according to the message.

Tried a manual connection, still the same. Dont understand how the player list only gets a couple of other players which then dissapear leaving the host to disconnect. I now understand the host as the server. Somebody somewhere must be sucessfully online with AC, obviously doesnt cover Wales.

I had a similar problem, and the solution was to move the Wii U and the router closer together. Getting a new one also helped.

Problem solved, took some advice from the AC community. I enabled the DMZ on my router to the IP address of my Wii U. This by passes a few Firewall and other "blockers". How to for this found via google. Online AC Black Flag play running sweet, happy days. Thanks to all for reading.
