This isn't a huge problem, and is tolerable. I think I meant to make a thread about this before, but forgot. ._. Anyways:
When I first got my Wii U, I set it up and all, and I noticed that the screen is slightly cut off on each side. (What I mean is, it's not fitting my screen perfectly) It's nothing major, but I wonder if it's possible to fix it? It's a Vizio HD TV.

I also have a 3DS and Wii U.
Go to the System Settings on your Wii U and adjust the screen size setting. I think it is under TV settings.
This. The reason this happens is because your TV is overscanning the picture. Sometimes there are options on your TV to correct this so you don't have to do this in the system settings. Check the settings on your TV and look for "picture size" or "overscan" or "picture shape" or something along those lines and maybe you can correct it on your TV, which would be better. If not, just do what Ecto-1 said.

Indeed.. I had the same problem I had to go in to TV Settings.. (I believe that is correct) and mess around with some arrows.. until they were perfect with the corners of my screen.. have not had a problem since.. I believe the Wii U starts with these maxed out for a huge.. like 64 inch screen automatically.. (Or at least it seemed that way with mine) so I had to shrink it to my 32 inch.. screen..
I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...

The size of your TV has nothing to do with it. It's just a matter of whether the TV has overscan or not. My 65" TV and my 21" monitor are both 1080p, but I have to set the screen size as BIGGER for my monitor since it does not have overscan, and SMALLER for my 65", because it DOES have overscan.
It became fixable only since the Spring Update: before, you had to make this adjustment in game, but now it's in the System Settings and works system-wide (for every application and every game).
