Also current systems are considered HD twins and then the Wii. No one expect a few stupid ones keep calling new systems next gen after they're announced.

I honestly couldn't care less. What is it that the best PC's can do now that the HD consoles can't?
You are so so so wrong. Get Arma2, put it in minimum detail level and run a massive mission there, you will quickly notice that the graphic load is just the minor factor, 300 complex AI units taking decissions in real-time while also modeling accurate physics, flight models, etc is a matter of raw CPU power.

All while using the same bloody traditional and uninnovative control method. Yawn.I don't care how good it looks, it's the same crap with a new coat of paint. You could give me a first or 3rd person title that looks NextGen realistic, but if it doesn't have any intuitive or immersive controls to back it up than i'm not interested, keyboard & mouse plus dual analog don't offer that. It's tale territory.....The most amazing graphics in the world wouldn't convert me, i'd rather watch a movie.

Well...that 20% (only in GPU) is not a big deal, and currently we don't even know the full specs of the wiiU.
The only thing that I'd concern is about this Direct X11, cause in IGN you can read that wiiU would handled a 10.1 versión, but is quite possible that they have upgrade that.
PS4...well if there is even a PS4 some day. Is very easy to thing that maybe sony would cancell the ps4 and drop the video game business.

Why some people don't get that better graphics doesn't make a better game? It's that gameplay itself that decides whether the game is good or bad. Sheesh people nowadays

you realize power doesn't just effect graphics right. Alot of gameplay elements are also effected.

I know power also plays the major part of the console, low power means that the whole gaming is bad, but I am talking about people that concerns only about graphics and how it is sole purpose to decide whether to buy the game or not.

Good graphics can be put to serve the gameplay other than just the eye candy, don't forget it. Let's say, for example, Skyrim or saints row 3.

See, to me and many that 'still' wouldn't matter if i was limmited to using a Keyboard and Mouse or dual analog control configuration for first and 3rd person based titles for ex. You can throw all of these visual gameplay enhancemets and bells and whistles at me and deliver one of the most jaw dropping visual experiences ever and i still wouldn't give it the time of day.
Throw in the Wii's pointer or Sony Move controls so i can feel like i'm actually an extension of the character/game world, while being completely immersed into the experience while getting 1:1 realistic controls and I'm so there. Also, no matter how many visual upgrades and new elements you throw into a first person or 3rd person PC title, you're still going to get those artifical, archiac and ugly looking stiff/clunky aiming/hand/gun animations because of the standard mouse controls. It's even worse with dual analog. At least the artificialness becomes fluid looking on PC, big whoop.
Metroid Prime 3 blows everything out of the water with Samus's Arm cannon animations, which can only be done with the Wii remote and Sony Move because those to controllers are in a way like a mouse in realistic 3d space instead of shifting analog sticks around or being tethered to a desk moving a mouse on a flat surface. You get that 3D dimension realistic look and feel for ex with Metroid Prime 3. Free Aim mode is the best demonstration. Those who have played it know what i'm talking about.
Anyways, Metroid Prime 3's/Wii remote controls & realistic animations are a massive upgrade, which Mandable probably hasn't even experienced let alone thought of. And I actually went back to playing the original Prime for the cube using the GCN controller and i was appauled by the horrible Robotic lifeless and clunky animations when aiming. A complete and massive night and day difference.
If Bioshock 2 had MOve controls we could of seen the same realistic '3D space' aiming effect with Big Daddy's drill gun. But as it is.....It moves absolutely horrible.....Doesn't get much more dated and clunky as that. Which is funny, because the game looks beautiful, but it's supporting first person arm/hand animation movements that have been around forever.

So basically, if the new Xbox is 20% stronger than the Wii U, the Wii U is 5 times stronger than the 360.With consoles that strong, my instinct is that raw power isn't going to be a major divider anymore. The Wii was significantly less powerful than the other consoles. 20% doesn't seem like that much of a deal.

The only reason I give even half of a **** about the power of the Wii U is the fact that if it's too far below the other platforms power-wise, it won't get enough third party support, again. The fact that most confirmed games for the Wii U are high tech third party games sounds good in theory, but the problem is that they are all high tech third party current generation games.

Yes but to what extent? I can't see the extra power being used for gameplay purposes. Look at Uncharted 3, on the PS4, it would probably be the exact same game only prettier.

Disclaimer: WiiU will probably not support DirectX11. I don't think PS3 even uses DirectX10. Reason being is that DirectX is Microsoft's property- if you want to call it that (cannot find another way to explain it right now x_x).
It's like thinking the next Xbox will be using Apple software or the A6 chip.
If anyone knows, the reason why Microsoft gave Xbox it's name was because it uses DirectX which is what Windows computers use. I don't understand how having DirectX11 is really all that important besides making it easier to port games over making it easier for developers to launch a game on all platforms (multi-platform). I don't believe WiiU will be using any of Microsoft's technology.
Feel free to correct me though. It just dawned on me that DirectX is Microsoft's platform and was confused as to why people, like Mandbole, is making a big fuss about it when it's simply just a platform Windows and Xbox systems use.
