Which PC flaws are you talking about and what's the relation with the fact that WiiU power doesnt matter for fanboys as long as it can run Nintendo games? BTW, pretty similar history had the Wii, which ended with minimal third party support and dead well before the others and with the fanboys labeling these third parties as arrogant or incompetent for leaving the Wii aside.

I think he is talking about how a new game could come out for PC, but it just happens to need a better graphics card or a newer operating system and just so you can play the game you will go out and drop $200+ so you can play your PC games. Besides, you whipping off in the direction of "power doesn't matter to Nintendo fanboys" is almost tipping the scale to being off topic.

I'm sorry, excuse me? I happen to be an avid Nintendo fan, but I do take the consideration of console power pretty seriously, though it doesn't derail me from buying a console entirely. And of course, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much power a Nintendo console has; they have managed to make their consoles must-buys, thanks to the multitiude of exclusive legendary games in abundance. I buy a Nintendo console so I can play Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and Pokemon in peace, console specs be damned. Do go ahead and tell me how that makes no sense, and I'm just another clueless fanboy. Really, I'm begging you.

No, your reasoning is fine. But most fanboys go a bit further:
With the Wii: Who cares about HD and power, we have Mario! But at the same time putting the blame on third parties for not supporting the console.
With the WiiU at the beginning: now HD is fantastic, and WiiU will compete with next gen Sony's and MS.
With the WiiU a bit later: Well, it doesnt matter if it is underpowered (again), it will have massive support from third parties. And then, when some main devs stated they will not port their games for WiiU the reaction is, who cares about third parties?? Even more, if game engines like Epic or SEnix ones are said to possibly work only for PC or PS4 Nextbox, then they are labeled arrogant elitists.

It isn't the HD that had us wowed. It was the fact that with the HD and new controller, the system probably wouldn't get left in the dust in the upcoming console generation.

As long as it has a lot of games that I enjoy playing, I don't really mind this.

You're comparing an $99 Android-based console composed of free-to-play/freemium games mainly targeted at casual gamers to the Wii U, a mainstream gaming console that can be considered revolutionary in many definable aspects of which I shall not delve into now, and saying "Wii U being revolutionary Ha"? I can only suppose this is yet another one of your incredible plights of immaturity when it comes to debating the gaming industry.

Ok you want to have a serious talk about games. From a Developer standpoint why should I develop my game to target the Wii U eshop instead of say the xbox/Windows 8 devices.

Also don't you find the lack of a developer SDK for developimg applications on a device (Wii U) which Iwata says nintendo wants to be the Center of the living room. If nintendo wants this to be the big deal of the living room than shouldn't their be away for developers to create applications or games that target not only the television portion but the tablet one as well

why should I take nintendo's online stratagem seriously when in the past they have been late to implement what one would consider industry standards. They still havent told what excatly as what the wii U browser will support (html5 or flash). They also say they are supposedly taking online serious but the Miiverse web apps wont be ready at launch.

As a causeless consumer why should I pick up something such as the Wii U instead of a PS3 or an xbox 360. For example why should someone who is intrested in say fitness games purchase a Wii U for wii U fit instead of something like the xbox that will work with popular fitness software (Nike+) and has a system wide api that tracks your workiut through various fitness games.

I don't see any posts here saying that you must buy it, and of course you would get smartglass being the avid 360er. Some of us could care less for multimedia streaming of a thousand apps all at the same time but I know that some people like that sort of crap. The time I get to use a console is best devoted to actually playing games for an hour or two instead of being a mess of apps that would rarely be used if not at all I guess its all about choosing the weapon that best suits your tastes next gen
