I see some people who are just as pissed about the quality and timing of the joke as they are about the basic Nintendo trolling of it.
I've defended many bad jokes over the years, but Notch's joke was just terrible all around.
Even Quips' jokes are better than this.

This reminds me of Anthony Padilla (Smosh) when he made the same joke about the Wii U in one of his videos. The guy loves Nintendo to death and it was just a joke, but Nintendo fan boys went bogus in the comments section without realising Anthony himself was a big fan as well.
@Morphbug I don't know...but I feel like the worst fan boys are Sony fan boys. Man those people are just toxic.
People trying to discredit it because there are more than two Wii U games look silly.
Furthermore, people trying to bash him for not making more than one game (even though it's one man versus an entire company) should ask themselves this:
Who made more profit from their work the last two years? Notch or Nintendo?

Ironically a new 3DS game that's literally EXACTLY like minecraft (but with guns apparently) is slated to release with an infinitely generated world as well as 60 FPS. Even has its own creative mode. Seems like we don't need Notch to get our creative fix.
