@SeanDude

I don't know why but I laughed pretty good at that video! I've never seen someone take the time and effort to make a YouTube vid for a forum response. Genius!

@WiiUOnly Well, I figured a video could say more than I could with text. But, yeah, it is kinda funny that I did that.

Personally I prefer analog triggers for FPS games. When you squeeze the trigger of a gun in real life, you have to pull back a little before it shoots. Analog triggers simulate that well.

And I prefer it for racing games, as well.

You think Nintendo could just come out and simply tell us if they are analog or not... grr. Nintendo I love you, but sometimes you don't make any sense to me, haha.

The Classic Controller has been discontinued though (the original version). It's been 2 years since they got the appeal. They don't sell them on Nintendo's online store either.

Don't really care for triggers myself since I don't play racing simulators at all. The most important thing for me was the confirmation of the analog stick buttons. I'm happy with the controller as it is at the moment.

I really hope that happens. I'd re-buy games like Wind Waker & Melee in an instant.

....What's the point of this controller anyways? I mean, can't we just use the CCP? :/

@Eureka I'd say that the CCP would be compatible with a lot of things, but unlike the Pro controller it doesn't have clicky sticks so for some certain games it probably wouldn't work quite as well and the Pro controller is pretty much designed to be like a GamePad without the screen whereas the CCP has a slightly different layout.
But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of games will have the CCP as an optional control scheme.

The ability to press the analog sticks down.

Offtopic question: is there a way on here to write private messages to a member?

No, though many users have a backloggery and PM that way.

I just realized that the Thread Title is wrong. It should be "No Analog Triggers on GamePad/Pro Controller!?" because the Wii U GamePad and Wii U Pro Controller definitely have triggers.

I only have the Wii and 3DS....and PC too I guess, but I don't think my controller has it.

Hmmm. I wonder why even make a trigger digital. Like I push, the trigger has to travel and then CLICK at the end of the travel there's a digital click? Weird. Been an XBOX 360 Gamer the past years so a trigger for me definitely is something analogue. :(
