At the moment it has been announced for PS3, Xbox 360, PC. PS4 and NextXbox versions are expected to be announced soon.
If this is correct this is very bad for the Wii U in Europe. I know a lot of people hate EA I am not a big fan of theirs my self. Or you may think who cares about soccer? Well I can tell you millions of soccer/football fans care.
A lot of kids love playing football games. I love playing football game so do many others. Believe it or not FIFA games are system sellers to a lot of people. This could be bad for the Wii U come Christmas.

If EA's not even going to put one of their major sports franchises on the Wii U, then that shows the little to no faith that they have in the console. Nintendo better hope the Wii U starts selling well.

Um, not sure why you're making the sarcastic dig about the amount of people playing FIFA. In Europe in 2012, the top 3 selling video games were FIFA 13 on 360, FIFA 13 on PS3 and FIFA 12 on PS3.
FIFA 13 was even the 10th best seller in North America, a region that apparently doesn't even like the sport...

The Wii U might get FIFA 14 after all but the one going to make it is not the same team making the game on P3, Xbox 360 & PC. It might not be as good as the PS3 & Xbox 360 versions but we might get it.

The article seems to be just the journalist's speculation, not actual news. I don't think it straight out says that FIFA won't be on Wii U. Also what @Ryno said.
