But it would be way more awesome if it was.

Would be even cooler if they made harpies

That's a relief. It makes no sense for Activision to port the DLC to the Wii U and lose money.

Yeah a multi billion dollar company will lose $20,000 if it went full steam ahead

Like what? Lose a couple of hundred/thousand dollars from billion of dollars made from (mostly) COD and a couple of other games?
Whatever. That's their decision, though I don't think that holding off DLC for the WiiU versions of the game will hold well if they wish to sell more copies of WiiU COD.

Eh can't really fault them. Every company, no matter what you think of them, is in business for one reason and that is to make money.

Regardless of how much money Activision makes a year, any business that sacrifices hundreds of thousands of dollars for a few thousand people isn't a smart move.

Thankfully, Activision is intelligent and knows Wii U isn't the best console to bargain with right now.

Hate to tell you even your beloved Nintendo would not do something that they know will make them lose money just to appease a handful of people.

It's nothing personal, it's just business. Learn this lesson and life will be much easier for you.

Wii U is gonna be weaker, but it could be this gens PS2.

You don't really believe that, do you? Also, I think porting a game takes more work than you might think.

Well, people were pissing their pants about PS2 and still do. Nintendo might get the PS2 treatment that I didn't really give a crap about back then.
Go compare Dead or Alive 2 on Dreamcast and PS2. The Dreamcast one is better, so I think Wii U will be the PS2 version, but only assuming were still getting the games on multiple platforms.
The trade off is the GamePad, and other additional hardware is'nt out of the question. Xbox and PS fans still thought their consoles were better than Nintendo's even when there was no motion control, but Microsoft and Sony saw it was creating it's own market and made different schemes from the same concept.
Nintendo already has alot of appeal, but it's not like this current hardware isn't upgradable in the 'Microsoft and Sony adding motion control halfway through a gen' kind of way.

This makes me so pissed I bought the game to support it on the console and expected to receive the full game. This sucks so hard I don't see why they put it on the Wii U if they're not going to fully support it.

Think of it this way, they released Black Ops 2 as an experiment to see how much it would sell on Wii U. If it did well, they would have released DLC because it would have been a worthy investment. It bombed, so it's not going to happen. If the next Call of Duty is released on Wii U, hopefully the system will have a much bigger install base by then, meaning it would sell more, be more populated online and therefore have a much bigger chance of getting the DLC. The issue with this is the next Call of Duty might not even be released on Wii U after this one crashed and burned, and that would be Nintendo's fault for releasing the console with no games and no marketing, basically sabotaging Activisions 'experiement'. The only way things will change is if Wii U sales pick up between now and the next COD, allowing Activision to say "wow, the sales for Black Ops 2 picked up after a while", or "it wasn't doing too well when we released that but other games are selling well now so let's give it another try".
It's either gonna be that or "Wii U Call of Duty doesn't sell, let's leave it."

But they would still make money from the other versions,so who cares about the amount of money they'll make?

Their shareholders do, obviously.

Well ya, they want profit overall, but if they break even, Wii U just has a game for free pretty much, right?
Lets say it takes 12 hours to port it over THROUGH AN AUTOMATIC PROGRAM on a game dev computer, and all they have to do is pay $5,000 for it to go live on eShop. It wouldn't seem that hard.
Actually, it might be better if we just let this die out. Those petitions are a waste of time. I rarely even play it, and Activision doesn't care.

"THROUGH AN AUTOMATIC PROGRAM" please tell me more about this process of AUTOMATIC porting

It's like converting an MP3 to MP4 or AAC. I just made it up, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It could just scramble the data and rearrange it to fit Wii U coding. That would make things alot easier, and my guess it that it could work porting Unreal Engine 4 to Wii U, too. 2-in-1 device = yay

Those sorts of programmes do exist however they need to be MANUALLY created in the first place. .
I know when Fallout New Vegas came out for the PC, their was a programme that ported Fallout 3 mods over to it NV. Lets just say the results...varied.

The DLC is already made. All they have to do is port it. Honestly, they've probably already got the DLC working on Wii U. Treyarch DOES have a specific team for the Wii U. It's just a matter of whether or not they decide to release. I seriously doubt porting it would take that much money. These people are working every day regardless of whether they port the DLC to Wii U or not, so how is it going to cost extra money? Even if it did cost extra money, it wouldn't be that much money, because the DLC is already made.

Also, Activision did promise that the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 .... "What we do have will be in full force on the Wii U. So you really will be getting the full Call of Duty experience on the Wii U." I do believe that DLC should be included in that.

If for no other reason, the Wii U BO2 should get DLC so we can have more Zombies maps. For people who play Treyarch's CoD games for the Zombies, you really get screwed on the Nintendo versions of the games.

One other thing, I hear that the ps3 and xbox 360 have gotten Nuketown for free. So... why no the Wii U? Obviously that would've effect how much money they get, since it's free. And you can't say that it would divide the already small community, because everybody should get it, because it's free. Also, it would be less of a middle finger to the Wii U players.

I will say this, though, it is very nice that we have at least get updates regularly on the Wii U, as opposed to how things were on the Wii.

As far as I'm concerned, COD is already dead. I agree with the updates, but I wouldn't have even bought this game at all if I knew the DLC wasn't going to show up.

EDIT: Now everyone should see why Nintendo fans don't like 3rd parties all the time. I bought Wii U day one and thought, 'COD: BO 2, hell ya!'. This is a tough position for fans AND the devs. They can either put the DLC on Wii U and risk losing whatever ammount of money, or not put the DLC on Wii U and risk losing more money from not selling any more copies. The players want DLC, and there won't be any additional COD players if we don't get DLC.

That's another thing. Games on Nintendo systems tend to sell over time. People will continue to buy Black Ops 2 throughout the Wii U's lifespan. People will be more likely to buy it if there is DLC available. So just because they might not make a whole bunch of money immediately when DLC is released like they do with ps3 and xbox 360, they will still get more sales over time. They shouldn't just be thinking about the present, but the future as well.

I agree. They're thinking more short term, especially with people buying a new COD every year no matter what. I heard MW3 was horrible and tons of people bought that day 1. Now they think crappy merchandise is acceptable.
Maybe we should be going after Battlefield 4 afterall...
Activision got too used to quick cash grabs with COD and Skylanders. The games are fun for the most part, but we've already had the same games at full price every year with DLC on whichever console since 2007.
I'm thinking COD/Activision won't be able to keep it's rep seeing how every console is apparently not created equal in their eyes.

It also doesn't make sense they haven't put DLC on the eShop.Just Dance 4 has DLC available and it's a freaking dance game! They should ask for help or something. An answer would be very nice, though.

But that was only shortly after the game came out on the Wii U.After that we've had no real updates on DLC.
