Are we talking all platforms vs. WII U? Splatoon will sell fine. No need to be negative. Hes probably right ya know. From what I can tell most COD fans B****ed alot about Ghosts and how disappointing the installment was.
I'm still amazed this game is not coming cause we gotten all the cod every year.And now there gone?It just shows you how bad the third party support is, and the thing that pisses me off nintendo doesn't care.They don't care about the fans that actually believed them that third party is coming back too the wiiu.
Nintendo has nothing to do with that. If 3d parties doesn't want to make games for them, they wont. They can't go and buy every franchise out there like MS or even Sony. Or what do you want them to do? make the games for them?
People should wake up and stop defending 3d parties like if they were poor old souls. They will never make games for Nintendo consoles. Ever. With the Wii they blame it on the non-HD crap even with a HUGE userbase. Now that they have the technology they blame the usebase, which is stupid because XB1 is much lower and expensive.
I would love to see variety on my nintendo console but i cannot side with 3d parties when they treat us like garbage and make a tantrum. I cannot. And you shouldn't either.
Call of Duty tends to sell the best on the Xbox, which is why the Xbox One is getting it over the Wii U.
But if you want an example, here's one from VGchartz(best source I can find.)
Call of Duty Ghosts sold 1.93 Million on the Xbox One compared to 170,000 copies on the Wii U. That's not even remotely close.
Now, it can be argued the Wii U did not get the same content and was not given the same promotion as the other versions. In that regard, Activision is in the wrong.
But here's something else to think about. The PC version also got little promotion, and it still outsold the Wii U version.
Out of the six versions of Ghosts, the Wii U was the worst selling version.

This is like saying Justin Bieber is the God of Music just because he sells more...sure this is a business...but quantity does not always equal quality. Most of the best victories in gaming IMO were ones that made the least ripples fiscally.
Though I do understand most people just want to be playing what everyone else is playing to fit in and that's considering "winning". Why do you think everyone buys every CoD even though the fans themselves agree maybe half of them are good.
In a way, Splatoon has won before even being released. Why? Because there haven't been 9+ nearly identical games released before it that take any of the surprise in gaming that probably all got us gaming in the first place.

Actually still believe it will come. Treyarch wouldn't say they are working on it if they were, but they could still be. Or someone else is doing the port. Either way, those recently added maps to the previous Wii U COD games must mean something. I'd doubt they'd bother if it wasn't for building hype and interest for the new game.
But Treyarch isn't working on Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer Games are.
Treyarch has ported the CoD games to Wii and Wii U for years now.
As sad as this is (and it is sad, the Wii U has the weakest 3rd party support of any Nintendo console barring the Virtual Boy) , I don't think there is much that Nintendo can do to reverse the 3rd party situation on Wii U. They can only hope to fix things for their next console. Until then, they need to put 1st and 2nd party teams at full throttle to give the Wii U owners a helluva ride. I don't really care about COD, give me more Splatoons.
How is Nintendo going to fix things next console? Buy a customer a 3rd party game for every 1st party game the Nintendo fan buys??? It's not Nintendo's fault, it's Nintendo demographic.
It's Nintendo's fault that they have their current demographic. If they want a different demographic then they need to cultivate it through vastly different types of 1st party games.
And then alienate their own demographic that they have spent years creating?
Yeah, it's Nintendo's fault for making awesome games that tend to be better than third-party's...
Looks like Call of duty's perfect attendance on a Nintendo's Home console has come to the end.....
Didn't read the thread so maybe someone already corrected this, but that's not quite true. Wii got Call of Duty 3 and then World at War when everyone else did, but missed out on Call of Duty 4 in-between the two until it belatedly appeared two years after everyone else got it. As a result, Wii never got Modern Warfare 2 that year.
And if we're including the GameCube (which of course never saw the main entries be released since they were exclusive to the PC and later also appeared on the Xbox 360, leaving the GameCube just with the console spin-offs), it too missed an entry entirely when Call of Duty: World at War - Final Fronts ended up a PS2 exclusive and didn't follow Finest Hour and the Big Red One to Nintendo's system of that generation (Or to the Xbox).
Aren't people sick of CoD, anyway? I know this might seem like a cop-out, but this might not be such a bad thing. If people don't really care about CoD on Wii U, and this includes non-Nintendo gamers, than maybe they'll try a different game on Wii U,
I personally don't want CoD and AC to be the biggest releases every year anymore, and never have. Maybe they'll release something else for a change. I'm being brutally honest in saying that if the biggest releases are going to be CoD and AC for another generation, then I couldn't really care less, and the same goes to an extent for Just Dance and Skylanders.
EDIT: ALL the companies just need to stop doing the same crap. Not just Nintendo. Not just Microsoft. ALL of them. CoD doesn't sell on Wii U, then make something that does. They are supposed to sell US products that WE want.
