Jonathan Holmes (@TronKnotts) of Destructoid has revealed over twitter that Nintendo are giving 3rd Party developers Free Dev Kits
Apparently Nintendo has been gaining a lot of support for WiiU for doing so by doing so.

Games make a great console, not technical specs.

It's true. Not only developers get this free offer but everybody it seems... I found mine stuffed in the letterbox next to my utility bill and Kmart catalogue

For those curious of the evidence.

While Jonathon Holmes didn't exactly say with absolute confidence that Nintendo is giving out free developer kits, it does fall in line with why so many independent developers are putting a Wii U port as a Kickstarter goal.

Knock the Rumour if you like, thats why I ask NL to investigate, but from the twitter feed its something Nintendo have been doing for a while, Before all the low sales headlines.
Not sure if its just indie devs, or aplies to all devs not onboard, but if this rumour, is true then its ony good news for WiiU, more devs = more games.

Iwata stopped by the house yesterday. He told me he was dropping off a dev kit, but when I opened the box it was full of spiders and human toes!!
