This is not about the game they're releasing for WiiU. We've all thought about it at least once since that game was announced though. What if Nintendo actually made it's own real-world theme park?

-Yoshi Roller Coaster: Bounces up and down along the tracks to simulated footsteps and the occasional jump. As you go through the fastest portion you'll go through a star-shaped ring and the star-power music will play.
-Donkey Kong Mine Carts: Shift your weight from side to side to determine which track the cart will take.
-Metroid Shooting Gallery: Just what it sounds like. Animatronic Metroids move their way towards the players, who have to shoot them to keep them away. Prizes awarded.
-Zelda Dungeons: Instead of purchasing tickets, you'll purchase items as admission. Solve three rooms with puzzles involving a foam sword, a foam tipped bow and arrow, a reflective foam shield, and a simplified musical instrument. If you pass the dungeons within a time limit, you get to keep the items. If not, you'll have to give them back as you leave through the 'game over' exit. Buy a fairy for extra time.
-Pokemon Snap Safari: Ride a slowly moving cart and take pictures of animatronic Pokemon. You can earn store credit for the gift shop with good photos.
-Super Smash Bros Live on Stage: A nightly show where the audience gets to pick their favorite characters and watch actors duke it out for their amusement. Some characters will even have a special entryway, like Mario coming out of a pipe or Peach sailing in by wire hanging from her umbrella like Tinkerbell
-Kirby's Cafeteria: Need some food? Kirby's got you covered with a series of Dream-land themed restaurants in a food court. Every once in awhile, a waddle dee will show up and wander around, followed by kirby who swallows him and dons a hat in his honor.
-Star Fox Arwing Flight Sim: A motion simulator ride plugged into an actual Star Fox level, with the player controlling with realistic Jet Joystick.
-Wario's Gift Shop: With credits you've earned from prize-giving rides, as well as real money (mostly real money, as the rides will always give a small and awkward amount), you can purchase various nintendo themed things here, like edible Mario Mushrooms, Fire Flowers, and Stars, foam swords and shields, Kirby Candy, model arwings, action figures, Pokemon plushies, chocolate Mario Coins, Cosplays, Hats, Props, Decorations, and even games and systems. The cashier will most likely be dressed like Mona while Wario stands outside.

Would you want to visit this theme park? Where do you think they would put it? Have any of your own ideas for rides? How likely do you think this is to happen in the next 50 years?

add that, then even Tretton will go to it.

I actually smiled reading this! I don't feel safe with the idea of shifting my weight to determine where I would go on the donkey kong ride. XD

Also there should be an arcade filled with Nintendo games both new and old!

I have a Pikmin idea. A single rail roller coaster with single suspended seats (like playground swings) with trains three cars long each. The cars are built to look like individual Pikmin (all color types, one type per car). The trains are boosted out of the station and sent upwards, to replicate being tossed by Olimar, then they go along the track passing by numerous creature animatronics such as Bulborbs and Swooping Snitchbugs for example. At one point you enter though a Bulborb's gaping mouth and go underground, flying past more Pikmin animals. Once you reach the bottom, the Titan Dweevil awaits, blasting special effects fire and spraying you with water. After doing a full circle around the Titan, you return to the surface and the station.

As for the name of it, I'd go with Pikmin Panic.

I don't think Pikmin is popular enough to warrant it's own roller coaster. That's really reserved for bigger franchises like Mario and Zelda. I think it'd be awesome if the gift shop sold real flower seeds that are painted to look like Pikmin. I'd hate to be the kid that plucks it out of the ground to discover it's face has been replaced with roots though...

So? It's a Nintendo theme park. Besides, it wouldn't be fair if Mario and Zelda got all the big fancy stuff while the lesser known series were subjected to just being gift shop items or kiddy rides.

I have a Fire Emblem Idea. Shinon waits in the trees annoyed at Rolf until he finally decides to start shooting arrows himself. Then Ike makes his way through the part slaughtering soldiers in a manly fashion, as he epicly catches Lucia. The greil mercenarys then proceed to kill ALL the soldiers. Because crimea.

Um, I'm guessing this would be a play/show like the Smash Bros. stage idea?

Or we could have Nintendo Land go-ers cosplay as soldiers. They'd be in for a surprise. >:3

I've seen the idea of a Nintendo theme park brought up a lot, but it's a good enough idea. Also, for the Donkey Kong Country themed rollercoaster, they should really base it off one of the mine cart/rollercoaster levels. Can you really say no to the idea of one themed after the levels from Donkey Kong Country 2 complete with Disco Train playing in the background? Or something as epic as this?

Then again, I've always wanted to see someone try and make a ride which mimicks the chase scenes from the same series. Likely impossible technically, but something similar to Haunted Hall in Donkey Kong Country 2 or the Demon rollercoaster thing from Donkey Kong 64 would an absolutely fantastic rollercoaster with a twist:

Especially if the kart automatically rereoutes three feet before you're about to smash into a wall.

Also, they should so consider the idea of a Luigi's Mansion themed haunted house.

Have a place where you get your picture taken with wax models of Miyamoto, Iwata, Reggie, and Charles Martinet.

Not to mention a Rainbow Road Mario Kart themed go kart ride.
And maybe with the DK rollercoaster, maybe you could ride Rambi.
Along with a Luigi's Mansion rollercoaster and a Bowser's Caslte rollercoaster.
A dueling Star Fox rollercoaster would be AWESOME.
Sorry, I really like rollercoasters...

Do you truly look at things positively? For example, do you look at the glass like it's always full? (Half water, half air.) Or when someone "lets the cat out of the bag," do you think it's because the person felt sorry for the cat stuck in the bag? There is a positive side to almost everythin...

Would the go kart racing have items? Because I'd love to see something like that in real life racing, although I can understand why no one's added them because of safety concerns.

And the WarioWare movie idea is pretty neat and original.

I think there should be a F-Zero inspired rollercoaster.

Just a guy making solo music using Garageband.

A haunted mansion Luigi's Mansion-style (complete with Boos!) would be a great attraction. So would a Mario Kart go-karting course with some in-game styled levels.

How about an Animal Crossing village people could pay for for an overnight stay? There'd be Tom Nook's Cranny, the clothes shop with Mabel and Sable, a small museum (complete with the telescope-viewing room) and Brewster's coffee shop inside. And like the game itself, K.K. Slider (a dressed-up actor of course, like the other characters) would perform there on Saturday nights for visitors.

The village would also be complete with trees and ponds (maybe a river too), and visitors would stay in small, Animal Crossing-style houses.

The idea of an Animal Crossing style village you could stay at sounds like a pretty neat one.

Also, here's a potential idea... how about doing something with the stickers and badges used in the Paper Mario series? Those could be a very Nintendo like replacement for pin collecting or whatever that is at Disney World.

I like all of your ideas. Here's what I've come up with.

1. Luigi's Mansion- Your classic haunted mansion attraction.
2. Mario Circuit- It's a go-kart course with actual Mario karts and Mario Kart decorations around the track. No underwater driving or gliding through the air, unfortunately.
3. Octopus- an octopus ride designed to look like the octopus from Game & Watch, with the tentacles swinging people up and down and all-around like the classic octopus ride.
4. Kid Icarus Odyssey- A dark, 3D ride that takes you through Pit's world in which you have to use your weapon of choice to beat enemies and score points to get the highest score among your riders.
5. Donkey Kong Rapids- A raging rapids ride in which you and your party ride on a circular, barrel boat down a raging river in a Donkey Kong Country setting. Various obstacles along the way such as animatronics of Donkey Kong Country enemies will attempt to make you more wet.
6. WarioWare: Action!- A live show inspired by the WarioWare series, join Wario and his Diamond City friends as they try to produce a movie so Wario can make more money, and the audience can be part of the cast! Those willing to take part in the craziness will participate in real microgames in a mission to be the best actor or actress.
7. Rainbow Roller Coaster- Inspired by the Rainbow Road tracks in the Mario Kart series, this rainbow-colored roller coaster would be the tallest coaster in the park and have many twists and turns. At night, it would light up.

Pure awesome this is. Every one of these rides would excite me to go to the theme park. How about some weapons for the karts too? Like a balloon shaped as a turtle shell that you can toss into your opponent as you pass him by. Worst thing it would do is make him crash, which at those speeds with tires lining the tracks wouldn't be all that bad. But of course it makes it more likely for other people to run into him... here's an idea! Mario Kart Bumper Cars!

It would certainly solve the hotel situation, though this would require a lot of land. Maybe something for the super rich, like Cinderella's room at Disneyland?
