i just wish Nintendo would take more of a risk with some of their less popular franchises instead of playing it more on the safe side.
What would be really interesting is if they played it even less safe: I'd be very interested if at E3 Nintendo stand up and announce that Retro have been developing a new, mature content, IP. I know that's very un-Nintendo, but so's funding a port of Gaiden 3 and the Bayonetta sequel. It's been quiet for a while but we were told that Nintendo wanted to win back the "core" gamer with Wii U. Nothing will encourage third party developers to make those games for the Wii U quite as much as a title racking up sales on the system (and we all know Nintendo promote their own titles more when compared to other systems).
I hope Nintendo leaves the M games to third party's like with Bayonetta and Ninja gaiden. I would be very interested in a "core" game by Nintendo just not an M one. Kind of like Sony with Uncharted.
I'm betting the Zelda game will feature some kind of connectivity between 3DS and Wii U versions
I sure hope not. I'm expecting Zelda for the Wii U to take full advantage of the Wii U's power. I don't want it held back by the 3DS.
How will that hold back the WiiU version in power?
That's like saying SSBU will be held back in power as well

I want it to do things that aren't possible for the 3DS to do. I want worlds too big for the 3ds to handle or even hold on a game cartridge. I want sequences in the game that use too much power for the 3ds to handle. I don't think it will affect SSB4 too much but the thought has crossed my mind.

Fair enough, I'm not entirely comfortable with words like"core" and "mature" which are both ambiguous and, to some, alienating but you understand what I mean. I've not played Uncharted but from what I've seen of the footage it may not be a bad example: at the risk of banging the same drum repeatedly, my favourite PS2 franchises were Onimusha and Hitman. Neither of those was gory but I'd argue that at least one of them counts as a mature/core game (I assume the "M" in your post means mature?).

KILLER INSTINCT U /3D
Im just wildly guessing as anyone else, but this would be a real BOOM-IN-YOUR-FACE-unexpected thing, show that Nintendo can be hardcore as well and it is/was a good franchise back in the day. With updated characters, strong multiplayer (maybe some kind of tournament or league mode) and connectivity between 3ds and Wii U this could be an absolute killer app. Even though Im not that much into fighting games anymore since my younger days (still love my mortal kombat though) i would instantly pick this up.

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

Oh crud I meant to say just not an M one . But I think you might have known what I meant, and yes M meant mature, as in the rating sense. I also agree that the terms core and mature are somewhat miss used, especially core as I think action gas become what that means isn't right.

A sequel to Disaster Day of Crisis could be pretty cool. I imagine the Gamepad would add a lot of new dimensions to the concept looking for people to rescue and such.
It might be interesting to have a quality game based upon that crap film "The Core," but I suspect that's not really what you were referring to...
Don't be so excited, fellow forum crawlers; the original information comes from Kyoto Report, a fan-made wiki/website. Kyoto Report also lists no sources of conformation for the listings they posted, so there is a good chance non of these new unannounced games are real (yet, anyways).

Ya. These predictions and such are kinda pointless. We're not gonna know for sure what they are until Nintendo themselves say something. I'm honestly hoping for F-Zero(first) and Starfox(second) to happen next over anything, though.

what they NEED to be working on is that GOD DAMN METROID PRIME 4!!!!!!
I thought they already confirmed they were leaving Prime alone for a while. I'm sure either Metroid, F-Zero, or Starfox are being made as we speak, maybe even at least 2 of those. We just have to wait and see since they are 'undisclosed'. I wouldn't mind a 3rd person Prime like the original was originally include as an option(maybe entirely, I can't remember). I have a feeling Xbox 360/PS3 kids are gonna show up on Nintendo Network once these games show up...

Wii Punch U Out & Mii Shooting U - would be amusing yet totally inappropriate names. I can't see many american parents buying Mii Shooting U for their school age children.
I would love to see a Mario Galaxy HD. That game would be gorgeous.
3DS Zelda could be a link to the past, majora's mask or some original zelda. Either way I'm happy (still haven't killed the boss of the water temple in majora's mask).
Mii Shooting sounds lame. I'd much prefer if they're seriously doing this, that they give us a pack bringing back the old light gun games in revamped gameplay format for Wii U; Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley, Wild Gunman....don't know if I'm missing anything else. other than that, think I've said this in another topic somewhere, most likely theyonly way I'll play a Star Fox U is a big IF it has online multiplayer. F-Zero, meh....I dunno how they could possibly save that 1. I know Kid Icarus came abck on the 3DS, though just the same I'd prefer more adventures on Wii U. (Wii remote and nuchuck optional controls only seem fitting imo)
Killer Instinct.....where do we even begin? From reports saying that the team/people that originally worked on it are no longer with Rare, to rumors of Retro Studios working on it.....I don't see how it can possibly be revived. Killer Instinct has been left in limbo for a long time. Microsoft owns Rare now (Trust me, just as many XBox 360 owners like myself would see more potential on that console instead. Though personally I don't care which console, only as long assomething with new mechanics can be unleashed, which in some ways i highly doubt), despite the license for Ki being owned by Nintendo, therein lies the problem.
1 other thing I have a thought on, when people were talking about is maure content or Nintendo playing it safe with that sort, I actually think some of their franchises could go as far as to seeing a T rating at best in order to produceboth safe anda slight step up to "more mature" content; Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess was 1 example (perhaps the only example I can think of) That said, it would be a nice step up even for best selling franchises, generally speaking of those of retro origins, could at the very least see some textures for once, more detail in both characters and environment.... Just need a little more life. (I usually think of Mario's cinematicsfrom SSBB and how his clothes actually looked more like clothes should as an example of what I mean. I almost kinda wanna say hyper-realism but kinda don't because it might be overhauling it, so I dunno...semi-realism? Semi-hyper? Just saying ) That said, 1 thing still urks me is the battle cries in Pokémon...... Why Nintnedo, must you continously suffocate us with the outdated, midi sounding battle cries as opposed to what's most natural sounding form them as the cartoon series expresses?? Seriously, get with the times already!

Somehow, I only just discovered that "M" is an official rating in the US, my apologies. It does add another level to the ambiguity and confusion though!
