Don't know how many of you use the official Nintendo website, I like to go on there and keep things updated and check my stars balance etc.

But, I was just wondering if any of you had noticed how long so much of the content on the website has been "Under Construction" this has not changed since last year!!!!

Do you think anyone bothers working on the official website anymore? because I'm starting to wonder, I know it's not a big deal, but, it would be nice to have the site in fully working order and properly updated.

Thoughts?

They're probably planning a big revamp and given how difficult the existing site can be to navigate I can't say it isn't warranted. I do wish they'd change up the rewards. I've got stars expiring, but there's nothing there I want so they'll just wither away unused if nothing changes. Oh, and the Wii U is clearly doomed as a result. I figure that's obligatory now in Wii U threads that question anything at this stage.

It's certainly taking them a long time then even for a revamp.

I agree 100% with you about stars expiring, I've had loads expire recently because the stars catalogue is never updated with anything worthwhile, and I simply refuse to use them on something I don't want/need, bit of a con if you ask me, never update the catalogue and everyone's hard earned stars expire, not impressed to be honest.

I think your right this could really hurt the Wii U as well, lol, only kidding.

Yeah, I only ever used stars for Nintendo points cards. Hopefully they let us use them to buy eShop credit soon or they're simply redundant as we move away from the Wii/DS era.

It may be my imagination but I don't think the update problems are limited to the last couple of months, I don't think they've ever been that well maintained. It is a little more obvious in the wake of a hardware launch though.

Yeah the aussie CN needs some love because they still have the same goodies from 4 years ago and you can't even redeem stars for VC downloads or point cards. The only good things I got out of it was winning a princess peach 3DS in that competition and using my stars to get those game & watch DS games

No the .co.uk site was always a bit pants: not kept current with new releases (they've never had a worthwhile wish-list feature - eShop is better for that anyway) and tough to navigate. Even doing something as basic as filtering rewards has been broken as long as it's existed.

I'm also hoping we'll get to swap stars for eShop credit, but I won't get my hopes up! Handfuda cards would be nice or Wii U-related stuff - Gamepad stands?

The only item I would care for is the inevitable golden gamepad

Yeah; I'd even go for the SNES Classic Controller, despite having a CC and a CC Pro and using only one of them (someday I might have a multi-player Mr. Driller Drill Land game or I'd trade in the CC right now).

The Game & Watch replica would be more appealing if it played more than one Game & Watch game. Most of the stuff is just so lame though: notepads, phone wallpaper (is it even compatible with current smartphones?), pencil toppers? The DS sock is pretty lame. I suppose the Wii Remote straps are okay, but I don't really need those. I mean if you went to Nintendo HQ and that's what was in the company gift shoppe it would be a shock disappointment. They might as well add a mousepad to the list!
