All the top people? The Stamper brothers are two people. You mean all two of them left? And the other guys who left, that I mentioned above who formed other game companies, were only at Rare from like 1995 to 2000 or less than that.
Oh, and I missed one, Lee Ray also left Rare to join Free Radical.
Nintendo NEEDS To Acquire Them Back, Rare Was Bacilly Their Peanut Butter And Jelly, Their Stick Like Glue Mates!!!, And Nintendo Just HAD To SELL THEM!!, Honestly I've Always HATED The XBOX!! Sure Some People ARE GONE!!, But A LOT Of People Are Still There!!, And Retro Studios Was A Decent Replacement!!, But It Wasn't GOOD!!, Monolith Was Decent Also!!, But It STILL WASN'T GOOD!!, Plus If Nintendo BUYS THEM BACK!!, They'll Get Some Of The Microsoft Franchises!! (Unless There Taking The Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Route), They'll Get The Rights To Make Donkey Kong 64 Again!!!, They'll Get Banjo & Koozie Back!!, They'll Be Able To Get The Rights To Make Tiny Kong's ORIGINAL DISIEGN!!!!, And WAY MORE THAN THE STUFF THAT I MENTIONED!!
I really don't see Nintendo getting back Rare. Microsoft needs someone to keep shoving more Kinect crap into the market. And what would happen if the people behind Microsofts Mii's left? The company would implode.

You all just want Conker's Bad Fur Day to make it's way over to Wii U.
More like Jet Force Gemini. >.>
Would love to see what the game would look like on the Wii U, heck even the PS3, but looks like that's not happening...I miss the old Rare. :c

The latter bit was sarcastic (if you didn't notice) and meant as a way to show how unimportant Rare is in the big picture of Microsofts grand structure. I was also expressing my hatred for what has happened to Rare (by fault of Nintendo) ever since being sold off. I do not believe Nintendo will get back Rare, though. I can be weird in how I choose to say something whilst expressing my opinion or making a point while irritated.

I like the Xbox, and don't be so whiny. Is it the end of the world without Rare? The gaining of Retro & Monolith combined I think more than makes up for it. And while Rare actually I think has enough life in it to make a good game, buying them back may be worth it more for the IPs at best. Hell, if Nintendo closed Sora, then they certainly won't need Rare, so it may not be for the better of either Nintendo or Rare. If they do it, though, I won't complain at all.

Microsoft has no reason to sell Rare. Microsoft doesn't need the money and could theoretically do nothing with Rare or their IPs and they still wouldn't hurt for money.
Nintendo has no reason to buy Rare. Nintendo has been doing fine without Rare. Microsoft's Rare isn't even the same Rare that Nintendo sold their stake in so many years back. As for their IPs, Nintendo can easily and successfully create new IPs without needing to go back to rehash moderately successful franchises from over a decade back.
Nintendo doesn't need Rare. Selling their shares in Rare was one of the smartest things Nintendo ever did. The money gained from the sale very likely went to the subsequent development and manufacturing of the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii and the heavy focus on innovation rather than competing with Sony and Microsoft on who had the more powerful hardware.
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

How on earth is it Nintendo's fault? Nintendo had 49% of Rare and the stamper brothers had 51%. The stamper brothers sold their 51% to microsoft. Why on earth would Nintendo want to co-own a company with a competitor AND have the competitor own the majority? So they sold their 49%.

With all of the capitalization and exclamation points I like to imagine the poster was furiously shouting as he typed this rant.
I keep seeing posts on this site like, "Nintendo can't release Donkey Kong 64, it's a Rare property." Where does this come from? Rare themselves have said multiple times that it is strictly Nintendo's property.
@WiiUOnly Its the Jetpack mini game inside the game thats Rares, and they cant take it out, because its an essential part of the game. Although, I dont see why Nintendo couldnt just switch it.... anyone want to drop a knowledge bomb on me?
^ The most I know of, that helps this thinking, is that there are 2 mini-games that are in the DK64 game: the arcade Donkey Kong(Nintendo's ip), & Jetpak(Rare's ip). If Nintendo truly wanted, they could have their emulation programmers simply modify the game code, to remove any, & all references, & properties of Rare's.
Edit: @D33G answered while I was answering you, @WiiUOnly. & He's right.
@D33G
Rare is aware that their game is the problem and suggested Nintendo just take it out and replace it with something else. The second article I cited says that. Here it is again.
Just because Rare is okay with Nintendo changing DK64 doesn't mean Nintendo is. Maybe Nintendo would rather get back together with Rare and release it as it originally was. I've noticed Nintendo doesn't really like to go into the coding to change much to their old games. I don't know how the VC version of Majora's Mask is, but the gamecube version had slight glitches because Nintendo just ported the code over and didn't change anything to fix the glitches.
In fact, maybe if there is any truth to any of this rumor, perhaps Nintendo is just trying to acquire the rights to jetpac so they can release DK64 unaltered.
