When you think Nintendo, you usually think of some of the industry's best platformers. Mario, DK, 2D Metriod, Kirby even Smash which has platforming mechanics. They've been masters at the genre for years. But I've been thinking, what if they were to attempt a parkour based platformer. One not only based around, but rewards the kind of stylish acrobatics you see in games like Prince of Persa or Assassin's Creed. Obviously is doesn't have to be realistic M-rated fare, but a platformer that rewards speed, style, and acrobatics would certainly be welcome, especially from a brand synonymous with platformers. I think the closest they've gotten was the 3D Mario games, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
There already is a great parkour game released on Nintendo systems...
This game proved that Nintendo only fans don't have the skills and ability to harness such a genre of awesomeness
Agree... such underrated game... lot of complaining about control system... which is just fine, u only need to get used too... and it is a difficult game, which is a pro actually...

Never played it, never will.
1. It's a Sonic game. I'm not a gambling man, and the odds of a Sonic game being good are very slim.
2. Those villians. Seriously who designed them? They look like gothy Toe Jam and Earl reject characters, and do not correlate with the aesthetics of Sonic's world at all.
It depends on what kind of Sonic fan you are; the 2D or 3D group. The 2D group only likes the 2D games, and the 3D group likes the 2D and most, if not all of the 3D games, as well.
I like the older ones, and the Adventure games, which some people absolutely refused to play, because it wasn't the Sonic they knew from the old games, I guess. It really depends. It's not a bad game, and it is true that saying the controls suck means that said people just don't understand them. Haters gonna hate.
People even didn't care for Super Mario Sunshine, but liked Super Mario 64, which makes absolutely no sense, so ya.

The problem with the Sonic fanbase is that it's so hopelessly fragmented that it's pretty much impossible to please everyone. Yeah, you've got the 2D fans and the 3D fans, but it goes much deeper than that. You've got fans that like speed, like platforming, or like exploration. You've got fans that want light hearted stories vs. fans that want darker stories. And all of these things are at odds with each other, it's near impossible to balance speed, platforming, and exploration in a way that makes all three groups happy, as is a game that has both a light and dark storyline. What happened with Lost World was that it reduced the speed and had a lot more slow, 2D platforming. So most of the people you see complaining about Lost World were speed fans who probably liked Modern games like Unleashed and Generations.
