Given the state of this industry, I wouldn't be surprised if all major Japanese 3rd-parties become Nintendo subsidiaries by the end of this decade. When heads start rolling at Square Enix, when Capcom can't even give the money to Ono for a next-gen Street Fighter, when Sega is already being friends with Nintendo, the future might end up surprising us.
