There would be no gain for Nintendo to have an app that was promoting games that weren't coming to their system. Or having editorial pieces on why the Wii U is failing and they'd be better off doing mobile and 3rd party.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?

Yes, god forbid Nintendo fans should have to confront criticism. I really don't care either way, as I don't read or watch IGN stuff, but I see this as another move, just like the no-show at PAX that sends a message that Nintendo does not want to be part of the larger video game community, which I think is sad considering they built it.

At the very least Nintendo would want Parity with the other systems

I think we know by now that Nintendo don't want to play the Microsoft/Sony game. Every decision they've made, good and bad, has been part of the Nintendo (narrow?) vision, from not charging for online, to not souping up the Wii U, to not paying for E3, to having strict swearing/mature content controls, to not using microtransations. They do what they do. At the end of the day why should Nintendo give a platform on their platform for someone to bad mouth 'em? Especially when they already have dedicated eshop/miiverse/facebook/twitter/youtube/websites already?

You could say why you feel the way you do. Or why you don't feel that way. Perhaps your reason for why is different than someone else, even though you both have the same opinion. It could still be adding more to the discussion. As it is now, you hitting "Quote" and then "Post Reply" adds nothing to the discussion. Other than me bellyaching.
Well, nothing I'd miss (IGN is a terrible bunch, anyway), but for the sake of easy game-related access to previews, trailers, and news, this is an important source to promote IGN as a platform and WiiU game footage presented on said platform.
Well if someone said my thoughts exactly then what's the point of adding more?
It has something to do with flat comment jokes. People chainquote to ridicule the target of the quoted comment, making it look more like trolling than an actual opinion. It's also extremely unlikely that this many people all collectively think
I have no strong feelings either way
about a topic that hasn't been discussed in the slightest. Though in this case, it's probably just everyone trying to discredit IGN as a whole (for some good reasons, I admit) as quickly and easily as possible instead of elaborating.
