I the movement's logic, I should get the Xbox One version of a game free if I own the game for the PS4

I know you're joking but its like your ignoring the fact crossbuy has been available on Playstation since the PSP and PS3 like 8 years ago.

But cross buying wasn't an option for Xbox and Games for Windows Live or Xbox and Windows Phones
So why aren't we attacking Microsoft for this stuff?

Less than a majority of companies that sell games allow cross-buy.

I have no idea the number of games those platforms shared so I can't really make an accurate but I'd say its has to do with dedicated gaming devices and non-dedicated gaming devices for comparison in terms of Playstation for PSP and PS3 most PS1 games were crossbuys as well as minis, Vita even has retail crossbuys albeit only a small range.

Ok... So what is the point? Sony does it so Nintendo should? Why is only Nintendo being attacked with this? I don't see the advantage, from Nintendo's point of View, to start focusing on VC Cross Buy.

Also I have read some people's comments on Twitter and Miiverse, what happened to being respectful during this?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@DefHalan Who is attacking Nintendo I think you're getting a tad emotional and I've never said that I support the movement but I do agree that paying twice to be able to play something like SMB3 on 3DS and Wii U is just greedy on Nintendo's part and a bit unnecessary and can be easily changed.

So Sony offers the option, therefore by this logic Nintendo should naturally follow suit based on...just Sony offering it.

Apple offer the same service as well as android its about not ripping of consumers imagine if every time you upgraded your phone you had to rebuy all your apps that is a ridiculous notion is it not or having to buy the same app for both an Iphone and Ipad.

Nintendo Redirect is an attack towards Nintendo to get Nintendo to change stuff. I never said you support the movement, I am trying to understand why people feel they deserve these things. You have to buy most games multiple times when you want them on multiple consoles. Shouldn't that choice be up to the developer or publisher? Why are we demanding this from a console manufacture? Yes they develop and publish games as well but they aren't the only ones. There are 3rd Parties involved too. Nintendo cannot just simply flip a switch and make everything these people are demanding happen. The problem with "movements" like this is that everyone is very vocal but when it comes time to put their money where their mouth is they back off.

There are people demanding Nintendo to get more 3rd Parties interested in the Wii U, if people actually bought 3rd Party Software on Wii U then things might change. Money speaks a lot louder than tweets or "movements."

If I seem emotional it is because I see these people that claim to support Nintendo then when things actually happen they don't purchase those things.

From my understanding and I'm not following this closely the people demanding more 3rd party support are not really following what was planned so are essentially trolls but again I'm not supporting the movement I just feel Nintendo shouldn't be charging people 3 times just to play SMB3 on Wii. Wii U and 3DS thats all.

Except Sony ironically does not let you play your PS3 games on PS4. Perhaps Sony wasn't a good example

Also, we're not talking about upgrading devices anyway. The Wii U is not an upgrade from the 3DS.

I don't think this is a movement as much as an angry mob that is only successful at making us look bad. A movement has focus. These guys are asking for everything from crossbuy to a new earthbound to Ridley in brawl. It's just silly honestly. Pick one thing. Ask for that. Be realistic. It's not hard.

Last I checked there's not really a huge library of (third party) games for Wii U. Are we supposed to buy every "Funky Barn" that gets released for the Wii U just to support Wii U? Is it really up to us Nintendo fans to buy every single third party game that comes to the system so more third party developers / publishers will release games for the Wii U? Once third parties start releasing good games for Wii U, I'll start buying them.

There is no real way to convince third parties if you already own a Wii U, so there is honestly no point in "demanding" for more 3rd party games

I own a Wii U and I buy games that interest me.
If a 3rd party game interests me then I will buy it... like Mass Effect 3 for Wii U and Monster Hunter.
If a 3rd party game DOESN'T interest me like COD: Ghosts then I will NOT buy it.
If a Nintendo game interests me like Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World... then I will buy it.
If a Nintendo game DOESN'T interest me like Pikmin 3... then I prolly won't buy it.

I think Wii U owners are split in various groups.
The biggest Wii U owner group really do only buy Nintendo stuff.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I don't like how there is no end to expressing demands and dissatisfaction amongst much of the gamer-Internet.

After getting the website to finally load, I have issues with some of the suggestions:

"10) Faster developed games, as AONUMA said himself. You can’t have huge gaps when you lack the 3rd party support."

Good games take time to develop. You can't just rush the process without cutting corners.

"13) Too much focus on the younger audience, pay attention to your old-school fans who are much older now."

And pretend that at least half the Wii U's games (SM3DW, DKCTF, W101, Bayonetta, and Mario 2D to be fair) are just for kids. And if they are suggesting shifting focus on marketing...I really don't see the point. "Old school fans" shouldn't need commercials to convince them to buy a Nintendo system.

"15) A push for online on console games. NSMB, Nintendo Land, 3D World, all HUGE missed opportunities that could’ve provided longevity."

So laggy online = longevity. Kay.

"16) Voice chat for these games. It’s 2014, and Nintendo can no longer afford to try to keep the kiddos safe."

Actually, they are selling because they are keeping kids safe. Stop looking at this issue from one point of view.

I feel that in general it's not going to hurt but it will be in vain. In the grand scheme of things it's not enough people and money speaks louder than words. Remember, Earthbound was only released as a trump card to be an extra incentive to buy the Wii U I think.

But 3rd Parties aren't going to invest into the Wii U if their is no support for their other games. If you want 3rd Party then buy 3rd Party. 3rd Party wont care if there are framerate issues or bugs unless they are supported. So the only way to break the cycle is to support 3rd Party when they try to support your system. The worst is when people buy 3rd party on other systems even when they own a Wii U, that shows 3rd Parties that they don't need to support Wii U in order to get your money.

I am not saying people should buy games they don't want but understand if you didn't buy Mass Effect 3 on Wii U then Mass Effect 4 won't be on Wii U, same with Assassin's Creed or any other 3rd Party games. Those companies don't care if the other consoles have "better" versions, they see it as people aren't interested in their products on Wii U.

That is why I made the comparison of Iphone and Ipad apps being compatible beetween the two devices, and Sony are working on having PS3 games playable PS4 via streaming but backwards compatible is a bit different to cross buy so I think we are moving off topic a bit.

It also upsets me that Shokio is (probably) going to claim it worked if Nintendo does anything on this list. Companies are like cruise ships, they take a long time to change directions. Some of these things people are "demanding" could have been being worked on since before the Wii U launched.
