So got a wii u today and put Nintendo Land in and the update has been installing for AT LEAST 2 hours and counts up the time. I don't want to turn it off in case it damages it. If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
The best suggestion I could give it to continue to wait it out for a another hour or so, and see what happens. I know that sucks, but that's personally what I would do for safety's sake.

Exactly. Alot of people got Wii Us today so expect the updates to take awhile to download as the servers are very busy.

Yeah, that's another good point. The servers are probably bogged down a little today. Hope it updates soon for you!

I live in po-dunk NM, and our internet is only dial up. We get about 1mb/1 min; so if your download speed is as slow as ours it's gonna take awhile. It may also help if you get a converter for ether net to usb, because a direct connection is better than wi-fi.
