Sorry if there is already a thread about this, but its very serious. So I got Wii U Deluxe on launch day along with Nintendo Land, NSMBU, and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I love them all, but Nintendo Land has started acting very strange and it scares me. It started on Monday, I was playing Donkey Kong's Crash Coarse and I was doing just fine until suddenly everything just... stopped, with a very loud buzzing sound that never ended. I tried to turn off the Wii U from both the system and the controller but no luck, so I had to unplug it. I was scared but when I plugged it back in and turned it on everything was still intact and fine, as if it never happened. I thought it might have just been a fluke, so I got over it fast. Everything worked fine on Tuesday, but Wednsday... I was playing with my big bro and we were having a blast, but like usual, he got tired fast after like 2 games, so he left. I, on the other hand, wanted to keep playing so I went to Balloon Trip Breeze and when I blew my character up to ring the bell, I rung it but then... everything just stopped and the loud buzzing sound returned! I had to unplug the system again and replug it to check if its okay, which it was. I went back to Nintendo Land and everything was fine, so I thought I'd try to reassure myself by playing so of Captain Falcon's Twister Race, but soon enough, it happened again, the freezing and the buzzing. Tried to see if Nintendo Land is okay for a 3rd and final time and it got even worse! I went back to the Twister Race, and when I was just about to start the game was working great, but then "3, 2, 1, GO!" AND BBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. The game crashed immediatley when the game started, yet I spent a long time hanging out in the Nintendo Land plaza without any issues, but as soon as I start a minigame, I freeze. And I know it only happens with Nintendo Land because later me and my big bro tested out the Wii U by playing NSMBU for like 3 or 4 hours straight, same with Sonic Transformed, and no issues! It ran perfectly smooth! Is any one else experiencing this issue? I feel like an out cast with a faulty copy of an incredible game that I had to temporarily ban from the collection til I figure out just what the heck is going on. Any help?

Me and My family did not just pay so much money on the Wii U Deluxe just for a brand new game to crash and become unplayable. I'm so very terrified of whats going on and your joke doesnt help at all... I need serious answers, please!

Call Nintendo support.
Ask other Wii U users or one of the Nintendo life staff, see if they have a clue.
Or go onto Miiverse and ask one of the hundred Miis there for help.

Ya it keeps doing that to me too I just take out the disc wipe it and put it back in, I'm glad they're updating it which I figured they would

Apparently NintendoLand has issues, mine freezes up when there's more than 2 people trying to play. As far as I we know Nintendo knows about it and is going to fix it soon...

Not going well for Nintendo so far with all these issues.

Games being delayed, potential bricking while updating, green colour screen when playing wii games and now freezing game issues and I'm sure there is more that i have missed

God dam I might just cancel my pre order and wait until next year when a price drop happens, more A+ titles games get released and all bug corrections ironed out.

Anyways besides from the game freezing while playing with multiple people, my system works fine.

Welcome to the world of system launches. None of this is anything new

This happened to me for the first time today. I restarted, reloaded Nintendoland and it happened again within 30 seconds. For others who have had this problem, have you been able to play the game again, or does it freeze every time?

This happened to me today. I had played a good hour or so of Nintendo Land, and Donkey Kong's Crash Course, Metroid Blast, Balloon Trip Breeze, Zelda: Battle Quest, Takamaru's Ninja Castle, and Yoshi's Fruit Cart all played beautifully. Then I went to play Captain Falcon's Twister Race and just when the countdown to race started, it froze and buzzed. I finally disconnected the Wii U after remembering that this kind of issue happened on the Wii once in a blue moon, and when I turned the Wii U on again, everything was normal as if it never happened. And for the record, New Super Mario Bros. U works great for me.

I didn't know that this was happening more than once on Nintendo Land, though, so apparently I better be more cautious and just wait for Nintendo to fix it.

I have had this happen to me once or twice as well, but I have clocked a good amount of hours into this game throughout multiple playthroughs and it has worked fine besides those one or two instances. Hopefully the patch that was mentioned will fix the problem!

I had my Nintendo Land crash as well and my NSMBU.Nintendo has put a statement and said that they are working on fixing the freezing issue there should be a Wii U patch next week.

I've played my U every day since launch. Nintendo Land has frozen twice for me: once on Monday and once Wednesday. Both were not right at the start of a play session either, and unplugging then restarting the system seemed to work fine. I wouldn't be worried unless we don't get an update next week.

Thanks to the guys who responded. In the mean time, I'll just keep playing my Wii until the patch is ready.

Mine freezes whenever I start a game, I read somewhere that redownloading the nintendo land update can help it. I'm trying it now and I'll tell everyone the results.

It didn't work.

It seems to be down for everyone or at least most players today - I played plenty on Wednesday - Friday with no problems, but this morning I tried three times and it froze within 15 seconds every time. On Miiverse, there is a huge and growing list of complaints of the same problem, and several people are tweeting about it as well. I strongly suspect this is network-wide.
