Who on earth goes in Game anyway? Overpriced beyond belief. Only clueless parents shop there.

RIP Gamestation

Pretty much this, vastly overpriced in general. Though I did grab Xenoblade for £15 from there, guess they massively misjudged it's value
CeX is much better.

I would like them to or just online / direct - it would mean the eshop pricing could be more competitive.

No it wouldn't.

Why not ? The retailers margin is wasted money. (What Amazon takes is more reasonable).

To be more competitive it would need more competition not less which still has no bearing on the eshop. Amazon is the worst buisness model possible since it's based on cash flow rather than not profits which it doesn't make.

Doesn't have to be Amazon just any of the other retailers that sell at a reasonable margin. Without the wasteful high street retailers the eshop price could be set to be the same.

The reason amazon sells at a "reasonable margin"/at a loss is because there's competition to undermine by selling it cheaply if you make them a monopoly by having them sell it exclusively it means there's no reason to sell it at less than RRP so the price would actually go up whilst also limiting the audience.

That wouldn't ever be happening due to Nintendo also selling direct though.

Such as The Game Collection and Shopto seem to compete with Amazon somewhat reasonably (And I doubt they sell at a loss).

GAME is an absolute disgrace of a shop sometimes.

I am a human.

I would Game is a disgrace always what I don't understand is why they are given special treatment. (I can see why HMV gets that for films but Game seems to be in a similar position for games for a reason I don't understand).

Wouldn't affect me personally, and honestly it's where gaming is going. PC games are all digital, and I buy all my Nintendo games from Amazon. Haven't entered a Video Game store in the UK for years, let alone bought anything from one.

As long as I can still buy them from Amazon, I could care less about brick and mortar stores for anything technological.

Couldn't care less.

Haven't bought anything from Game for years, got Super Mario wave amiibo preorders for Yoshi and Toad with them locked in at the £10.99 price point, they put the prices up shortly after though.
I was going to get MP10 amiibo bundle from them too but switched it over to Amazon recently.

Doing most of my purchasing from the eshop anyway, only got 10 physical Wii U games at the moment. Majority of them came from Amazon, some came from Argos - they seem to like Wii U games, always have plenty in stock.
