I'm not a huge fan of 2D Metroid: I just can't take the back tracking. People are always so proud when there's no hand holding...but I hate it when the game refuses to tell me anything. I have limited time to game, and I'm not too fond of wasting it all looking for the right way to go. Just give me more challenge, don't make me run down the SAME hallway and watch the SAME load screen 15 times. All "Metroidvania" games get on my nerves that way.
I'd recommend Fusion in that case, as it's far more linear.
I'd have to go with the Mario Party series. Outside of 2, 4 and 5, it has limited enjoyment for single player out of the ones I've played (2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Advance, DS). I know it's aimed for multiplayer but why haven't they put online multiplayer in yet (and it looks like the same problem exists for Mario Party 10). For most of the other franchises I've played it's really a few games maximum in the series I dislike such as Kirby Power Paintbrush (and hence Kirby and the Rainbow Curse) are the only Kirby games I dislike.
I ENJOY Mario platformers, Smash Bros. Donkey Kong platformers, Most Metroid games, Pokémon, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Kid Icarus:Uprising.
I can't get into Zelda, Star Fox, or Earthbound/Mother. Zelda's text dialogue doesn't feel right and doesn't let me connect with the characters (I don't know why, but I just feel like Zelda's epic story clashes with no voice acting.) Star Fox is meh. It really needs a new entry. Earthbound is HARD AS HECK. But that's probably just because I'm not a HUGE fan of JRPG's. I dislike Metroid 1 and 2 because I need a little bit of guidance at least.

Pokemon and Animal Crossing would be notable but there are others too.
Besides the games, what I like especially about Nintendo is really the hardware and the controllers and the general console which allows for fun games, surprisingly many that are third parties actually, so to be a Nintendo fan doesn't mean you got to love every franchise.. more about loving the hardware, for example the Wii controllers, the Game Cube controller, the 3D effect, the Game Pad...
Forgot that I dislike Pikmin too. But I love the Mario RPG's and Mario Kart for their simplicity and fun.

I feel like Kirby is getting kind of stale. Luckily Kirby always has AMAZING spin-offs, but I really hope they make a BIG improvement to the main series games. Maybe make a 3d Kirby platformer?

It varies from game to game. I thought Kirby's Epic Yarn was boring. Kirby Returns to Dreamland was good, though. I've gotten pretty bored of Pokemon. Somehow I got more interested in Wii Fit U and Wii Sports Club than the Wii games. 1080 Snowboarding was boring on N64, but 1080 Avalanche on GCN was fun. F-Zero got good on N64, then it got better on GCN. Etc.
So, I like all of the franchises, but only certain titles, or I think think the newer entires are better, so I don't play the older ones as much, if at all.
not a fan of...almost nothing. I buy and play lots of Nintendo games. Nintendo means a fun and quality game IMO, no matter the genre. Wii Music is the onlyt game that jumps to mind as being trash. But ive enjoyed most everything Nintendo over the years.

I honestly want a new Kirby Golf game. That SNES one on Wii U VC is so freaking addicting lol
I'd say Fire Emblem but I've never really given the game much of a chance. So I'm not a fan and haven't got into it but I don't think that really means anything because I've never played them.
For games I have given enough time? Well Yoshi and Wario Land. They can be good but more often than not they're just "meh". Kirby is in the same boat but at least with Kirby it's built as a platformer for kids. So I understand why and I did enjoy Kirby's Epic Yarn.
Animal Crossing is fun, altough I wish that there was a sort of "bed" system to skip to the next day. I started changing the date of the game for this.

I will bring this image up every time someone asks for a 3D Kirby game, because this just needs to happen.
