For Nintendo games I don't really buy, but not necessarily don't like, as a few are great fun at a friends house . Let's see now, Pokemon, Mario (all of them), Donkey Kong, Pikimen, Lugi's Mansion, Kirby, and more I'm forgetting probably.
Pikmin, not saying it's bad, but I think the day cycle should be longer, because it gets really daunting. Haven't played a Metroid game, but I don't think they look interesting to me
so you want it to be less challenging? does not compute.

Not that I want it less challenging, but I think they should give a little room for error.
I've noticed that quite a few people say Smash Bros and Pokémon at the same time. I wonder why...
I also think that it makes a bit more sense for some older fans to dislike Pokémon, probably because some of us younger fans grew up with it and it has still stuck with us or is nostalgic. I wonder how different it would be if Pokémon was out a decade earlier...

They do it in Pikmin 3, it can be a really relaxing experience at times.
Pokemon - I get it but I just can't for the life of me enjoy these game... and probably never will.
SSB - Growing up on SF2 and onwards this game is just too chaotic and messy for my liking, I'm pretty sure its somewhat a deep game but I prefer a game that rewards players for their effort and time to learn the mechanics of the Fighting game. Kinda like the Boxing vs. MMA argument shrugs
To be quite honest I would not really call myself a fan of the main series mario games. I buy and play them on occasion but not very often. Donkey Kong and F-Zero are two more that I don't really care for.
F-Zero - I've tried playing both the SNES & GBA games on multiple occasions, but just can't seem to get into them (like the music, though).
Played Years Ago, but Haven't Looked Back:
Mario Party - I rented a couple of the N64 entries as a kid occasionally, but have no interest in them now.
Pokémon - I played the first three gens & really liked it, then, I just sort of stopped playing them. That's not to say I have no interest in them whatsoever, it's just that I never seem to get around to them, but I'm not really bothered by it either...
Not Interested in Trying:
Animal Crossing - Just doesn't seem like my cup of tea.
Tomodachi Life - Same as above.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I tend to like games that people like and Nintendo tends to make good games so...I dunno? Ice Climber? Kid Icarus? That's about it...
I mean, I don't like Fire Emblem as much as most people but I don't dislike it either. And New Super Mario Bros is more infuriating in its treatment of my favorite video game series as a cash cow rather than being bad or unenjoyable.
Mario Pinball sucked though. That is a terrible video game.
Not a fan of Fire Emblem mainly for it combat system.
It's funny, Fire Emblem is by far one of my favorite series, but I can see how other people may not enjoy the long, turn-based battles.
I'm not a huge fan of 2D Metroid: I just can't take the back tracking. People are always so proud when there's no hand holding...but I hate it when the game refuses to tell me anything. I have limited time to game, and I'm not too fond of wasting it all looking for the right way to go. Just give me more challenge, don't make me run down the SAME hallway and watch the SAME load screen 15 times. All "Metroidvania" games get on my nerves that way.
Also not a huge fan of the New Super Mario Bros. series. TBH, I like the games, but comparing them to Super Mario 3D World, Mario Galaxy, or Super Mario World makes it seem like they shouldn't even be Mario games...more like a slow Sonic games
I guess Kid Icarus too, but only because the awful controls...Once you go Sin and Punishment Star Successor you don't go back
The Mother series, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, and Fossil Fighters (yes, that last one was a first party game series). Probably some more I'm forgetting, too.
I used to like Kirby, but now I find the games way too easy. I suppose I still garner fun out of them, though.
Best thread ever

Every franchise they have is among the best in its respective genre.
But I'd have to say Kirby. I don't hate it, I've just never had fun in a Kirby game other than Power Paintbrush. I like the characters though.
