I'm hoping Mario Maker is an eShop game and not something too big, so it won't draw criticism of not being hardcore enough and getting too much focus...

What if it is DLC for NSMBU? Different art styles and can share levels over Miiverse

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

That will be the best.

Why does it matter if brainless teenagers and manchildren like Machinima complain Nintendo isn't hardcore enough?

I highly doubt that Nintendo's booth is that far along and not blocked by massive walls and curtains. And why put up signs this far in advance only to risk leaks?

How would you fake something like that?

Is Nintento U the QoL platform ? (More I look the more I think it is faked.)

The have said specifically that the figures only work with the Wii U Smash Bros.

no they have not. nintendo hasn't stated what they work for......only that they will work across multiple games. i think smash is one of them but not alone

What I meant was that they won't work with the 3DS Smash Bros (Due to the portal equivalent not being ready until early next year).

Pretty sure they have said something to that effect. (Doesn't rule out changing their mind though).

Yeah that has been said, figures won't work with the 3DS version of SSB

Right so there's no Monster Hunter 4 on the list but other third party 3ds games... Yeah I'm not buying it

That being said, I do agree it's fake, more because Sunshine and Wave Race seem like stupid choices for HD remakes.

While Sunshine doesn't seem a bad choice, Wave Race definitely does.

Sunshine is pretty much the worst choice for a Mario game, it's the least popular, and IIRC, the worst selling Mario game ever. So an HD remake probably wouldn't do too well. Literally just about anything else they could make Mario wise would sell better.

As far as what should get an HD remake, that's a tricky one. They've already done Wind Waker, and remaking Double Dash or Melee would cannibalize sales for 8 and Smash Bros U/3DS, especially if they have online. I can't think of any Gamecube games left that would be popular enough. Luigi's Mansion? N64 wise, Mario 64 was already remade for DS, and they'd probably just put that on Virtual Console instead of re-remaking it. Ocarina of Time was already remade on the 3DS, and Majora's Mask may not be too far off either. Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros share the same problem as Double Dash and Melee. Kirby 64 is really the only game I can think of that would be viable, but somehow I can't see them doing it. So that gives us Luigi's Mansion and Kirby 64 that I can think of, and I'm not too confident in those choices.

I respectfully disagree on that one. I think Sunshine would be perfect for revisiting. Improve the camera, tweak some of the shines, add the golden feather option for less skilled players. The sun-drenched graphics would look great in HD too. Commercially it would make sense in that it's a relatively low seller for Mario games which means more people who haven't played it.

As for other remakes I'd love Nintendo to go back to their raft of little-known and/or under-appreciated games that were sent out to die late in a consoles life e.g. Pandoras Tower, Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Chibi-Robo, Geist, Baten Kaitos Origins, maybe even Odama and Fire Emblem:Path of Radiance.

Also occurs to me that the Wii U could, between the Gamepad and Wii Remote, play every Wario Ware so far. Bung them into a compilation with a few Mario Party boards (given a Wario twist). The Gamepad seems perfect for a Pokemon Snap sequel too, though maybe not a remake.

I know it's ridiculous to ask for an HD wii title, but I'd like to see the entire metroid prime trilogy remastered for optimal graphics and optional dual-stick play. This is the gamecube game that needs remade the most.

edit: Path of Radiance isn't that bad of a choice either, but FE games don't sell like other IPs

You know, that is a really good point, but it does bother me. It bothers me because it brings bad press, negative stuff on social media, and affects stock price as a result.
