Doesn't seem too legit to me. I've never heard of the site spreading the rumor, the paper doesn't have anything on it that would identify it as Nintendo's besides the logo at the top, and the fact the original source came from a reddit user, I don't quite believe it. The titles don't look all that interesting, but that's a more personal matter.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
If they are going to more HD remakes I would hope for a collection.
Something like Sunshine and the Galaxies all on one disc in HD would be an instant buy....heck throw Mario 64 in there too. Sort of a 3D version of Mario All stars.

Those SNES times are the only time I can think of when Nintendo weren't really tight-fisted.
(Look at how for the GBA they went back to milking the parts of All Stars).
“30fps Is Not a Good Artistic Decision, It's a Failure”
Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
This is definitely fake, I don't see any Gamepad/NFC-centric titles.
Hopefully we see a Nintendoland 2 of sorts with the NFP. Only time will tell.
EDIT: I should have worded this better. There IS an NFP game in the form of Nintendo U, but there are not "several games only made possible with the Gamepad."
Sunshine is pretty much the worst choice for a Mario game, it's the least popular, and IIRC, the worst selling Mario game ever. So an HD remake probably wouldn't do too well. Literally just about anything else they could make Mario wise would sell better.
As far as what should get an HD remake, that's a tricky one. They've already done Wind Waker, and remaking Double Dash or Melee would cannibalize sales for 8 and Smash Bros U/3DS, especially if they have online. I can't think of any Gamecube games left that would be popular enough. Luigi's Mansion? N64 wise, Mario 64 was already remade for DS, and they'd probably just put that on Virtual Console instead of re-remaking it. Ocarina of Time was already remade on the 3DS, and Majora's Mask may not be too far off either. Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros share the same problem as Double Dash and Melee. Kirby 64 is really the only game I can think of that would be viable, but somehow I can't see them doing it. So that gives us Luigi's Mansion and Kirby 64 that I can think of, and I'm not too confident in those choices.
Given that the only other Gamecube rerelease is Windwaker, another poorly received title that is still quite well made, despite a few mechanics that drag on and were fixed in the subsequent remake, I'd think Sunshine matches pretty well with what we've already seen Nintendo do. And as far as other options, you've already gone through most of them and they don't exactly exceed Sunshine.

Is Nintento U the QoL platform ? (More I look the more I think it is faked.)
The have said specifically that the figures only work with the Wii U Smash Bros.
no they have not. nintendo hasn't stated what they work for......only that they will work across multiple games. i think smash is one of them but not alone
