Ya, after 7-8 years. That comparison is basically based on how much time has passed and nothing else. We might as well say Xbox 360 and PS3 had hardly any games their first year compared to the consoles before it(PS2, and Xbox).

If 360, PS3, and the Wii U are basicly the same, with the same games coming out, you can't really count Wii U as next Gen gaming, if it even can't even do what this gen consoles have already done.
And when next gen X-box and Playstaion come out, its going to be the same for the Wii U

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

The GamePad is a better controller. I'd say it has done better than Xbox 360 and PS3 since it launched. The ports it's been getting were basically copy and paste, with added Gamepad functionality. Have you ever converted an MP3 to AAC or MP4? The overall file quality is better, but some data get lost during the conversion. Same applies here, which is why some of the well done ports weren't as good. The other ports were poor, because of the company making them half-assed it. It would be kind of pointless to judge the entire life cycle of a console based on projects with hardly any effort.
It can do better graphically than the last gen consoles BTW, it just hasn't shown it yet. It won't be as powerful as PS4 and Xbox 1080, but it's definitely better than the last consoles.
Do you have a Wii U?

I don't think it's necessary to own a PS4720 because the PS360 will get those games anyway without the need of your soul being connected 24/7 just to play

Nintendo is down. It will be for some time and, for this generation, will never catch up.

I can only imagine how 'down' Sony is then. Nintendo and Microsoft always manage to stay somewhat stable with occasional highs and lows which is normal, but Sony no doubt sacrificed alot more to be in the gaming industry this last gen.
I wouldn't doubt most of their progress has been erased financially. If Nintendo is down, then Sony is down under.

Is doesn't matter whether PS4 is better or not, if Sony is releasing a product they can't afford to hold up, then it truly is doomed. Nintendo and Microsoft don't put $600 dollar consoles on the market that are actually worth $200 now. Their appeal was bluray, which costs $45 or so to make, then the CPU and other components probably cost way less by now.
Even Xbox is overpriced a little now.

No, Sony is not Australian. Unfortunately.

Though, you did miss my point. When it comes to third party support and online functionality, Nintendo is behind. Without being on the same wave length, Nintendo's Wii U is a step behind its advancing competition regardless to what your biased opinion says.

You never learn. I've explained so many times how I actually have reason behind my points. Every time you call me biased or a fanboy, you automatically lose all respect in an argument, especially when you have no evidence to prove otherwise.
That s*** is old. I'm not even pissed, but seriously.

EDIT: BTW, you are using an opinion against my supposedly BIASED opinion, by stating PS and Xbox have better online. They don't have anything better than Nintendo IMO, so being behind in terms of online would therefore be your OPINION.
So I'm guessing that your opinion isn't biased, yet mine is? How does that even work? I could say your just as biased against Nintendo.

That is the most irrelevant post I've ever seen. You might as well have posted the Jimmy Fallon eating popcorn one. It would have had the same effect.

I dunno. Nintendo has been doing pretty well despite being "behind"

You people are laughable. A bunch of forum-goers trying to masquerade as professional analysts. I said it in another post, but you DO realize that Nintendo is not only the Wii brand of consoles, right? You do realize that Nintendo currently has a DS brand that is roflstomping its competition in incredible hardware sales week by week (some weeks they are tops, some they aren't- but they ARE consistently excellent) as well as owning 2 or 3 spots of the top 10 software chart in Japan. That new Animal Crossing game is basically printing cash for Nintendo, its Wii U Monster Hunter bundle is Europe sold out, and Luigi's Mansion is posting really nice numbers. Nintendo stock, as of the last quarterly report, has actually risen, and investors seem quite happy. Great games are coming down the line for ALL of Nintendo's systems, and the future looks pretty darn bright.

Those are the facts, folks. Your petty squabbling over "fanboys" and "next gen" arguments are so irrelevant to anything substantial that you honestly deserve to be laughed out any mature conversation on the topic. There is a place for ALL THREE major console companies this generation, and I for one sincerely hope that not a single one of them goes under.

DefHalan

The reason for lack of games recently is simple, Nintendo doesn't want to show their hand to early. they want more games closer to the other console's release so they can be in the fight more. I for one am excited I have a Wii U as all the ports that I missed out on over the last year or two (I got Batman Arkham City) I can buy for a system that will still be relevant in a few years instead of one that is being replaced later this year that may or may not have backwards compatibility.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

They say the next Xbox will require a 24/7 internet connection and doesn't use discs.
Well, if that's true, it's guaranteed to not win this generation of gaming.
