For Wii U:
Wii Sports Golf (and more possibly)
DLC for a few games we've forgotten about
New Trailers for the games we're most hyped about with bit more info in them
DKC:TF explained a bit more
A couple of small surprise teasers
A big surprise teaser but not as big as Zelda
For 3DS:
Pure gold. Whatever Nintendo try to do to make Wii U look good, the 3DS announcements will ruin it by being better.
I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
I'm not expecting much for tommorow's Direct, I'm only expecting January-May release dates of already revealed games and SMB3 on the VC. While in January, I think will have a Direct with new game announcements, localisations both ways, new systems added to the VC, and new info on games like Smash, Bayonetta, X and Yarn Yoshi.

Mario Kart 8
Wii Sports Club updates
Kirby
Another look at Super Smash Bros. even though its not slated for spring
and -SEVERE WISHFULL THINKING ALERT DO NOT GET HYPED- Zelda U ;o;
@DarkwingLz Iwata and Reggie recreate Donkey Kong (1981) with Iwata throwing Barrels at Reggie as he tries to climb to the top and steal his banana reserves~ =P
Yarn yoshi isn't likely as it is too early in development and we haven't heard anything about it. Most likely it has been cancelled and only got past the thinking phase
Currently playing:
Pokemon X
Bravely Default

Its been almost a year since it was first shown so who knows how far along it is now.
Most games that get cancelled are usually never announced anyway.
Huh? Then how would you even know that information?? I can think of more than a dozen off the top of my head. Here's a website with a list of over 100 cancelled games for Nintendo systems alone...
Gaming magazines in the 80's-90's often had previews and photos of new games for all the systems of that time, with many of those games never seeing the light of day even though they appeared to be at least halfway finished.
I doubt Yarn Yoshi has been scrapped though, as Nintendo can't afford to not create first party titles.
Most games that get cancelled are usually never announced anyway.
But also a lot of the tech used to make those cancelled games gets put into different games so it isn't a complete lost.
@FutureAlphaMan
The tech behind Yarn Yoshi could have been re-purposed into a completely different game. (not saying that is what I am thinking just saying)
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
