Topic: Nintendo Direct- Wii U

There is a Nintendo Direct tomorrow on December 18! Come here to discuss everything Wii U related on the latest Direct.

Also, I would like for this thread to be the main thread for Wii U Direct news just so there's not a bunch of separate Wii U Direct threads, if that's okay with the mods.

I'm sure we could see a little more footage of DKC: TF, but I'm hoping we see some new footage for Mario Kart 8 as well. It's been awhile since we've gotten anything new for MK8! It would be nice to get a surprise or two as well, but I'm not expecting anything crazy.

Low expectations, guys, or you will end up being disappointed.

I want a good trailer of DKC featuring Cranky Kong. The VGX footage was pretty dull. Need to see more.

Monolith's X, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and Bayonetta 2 REALLY needs to be shown.
Then a sneak peak of Shigeru Miyamoto's IP for Wii U would be amazing...

It's only focusing on early 2014 releases though. I doubt any of those will be Q1 2014 titles.

I wouldn't expect much more than more DK:TF stuffs, Mario Kart 8 and maybe some talk about the next batch of Wii Sports Club games. At most maybe some improvements to 3DS and Wii U account ties now they have the same NNID. Perhaps some VC improvements and new consoles added on the Wii U side of things.

Much more than that and I think we'd be going too far into the "please lower your expectations" territory.

I imagine they will focus on games like Mario Kart 8, DOnkey Kong, and a few 3DS games. I also imagine that they'll tease a few later games.

OF COURSE the Direct is gonna start off with Donkey Kong. Its inevitable. Its what comes AFTER Donkey Kong that matters.

I hope Iwata holds even more bananas for this

Just FYI there'll be 3DS stuff too.

No doubt they'll cover DK. We'll probably also get new info on MK8, Mario Golf: World tour, NA/EU dates for kirby, probably Yoshi's New Island, and hopefully Bayonetta 2 info. A new game announcement would be nice too.

Well, is just few days for christmas, Nintendo needs to add some heat to this matter.

A release date for Mario Kart would be awesone.

And no, there'll be no Zelda U.

And if there IS a new game announcement tomorrow, it better be for the Wii U. 3DS needs to take a backseat next year.
