Sure. Won't happen though. I could see a New Super Mario Bros. as a launch game since they had a full demo of one at E3. But Zelda's gonna take a while.

I dont think Nintendo has had a Mario game for launch of a system since the N64. And Zelda as far as I can remember has never been a launch title except for the Wii with Twilight Princess.

Yes, NSMB Mii will probably be a launch title. I bet the new Mario game on the 3DS will come out around the same time too and they'll interact in someway. Aside from Mario, I think there will be another huge launch title; whatever Retro's been cooking up. Those along with a bunch of 3rd party titles (although mostly ports) should make for a great launch lineup. Who knows if it will sell well though, a lot of people have been disappointed with the Wii and might not be willing to jump onto another Nintendo console. I'll definitely be picking one up though.
NSMB Wii sold over 25 million copies. While the next one may not be called NSMB Mii, I am positive there will be a new 2D main series Mario title on the Wii U and will very likely be released at launch or within the first year.
I'm pretty sure Nintendo said it was nothing more than a tech demo themselves, unless they're working on multiple Marios, the only 2D Mario game we know of right now is the 3DS one. >.> I say Nintendo will probably launch with another franchise of theirs, like Star Fox or something. (and Pikmin, obviously, lol)

That just means they weren't ready to announce it at that time. There will be a new NSMB; it won't be NSMB Mii because they'll be adding something else besides just Miis... something that utilizes the new controller most likely.
He's not saying this will happen, he's saying if it did the Wii U would sell like crazy.
I...uh, I knew that. >.>
Oh. Your comment came across otherwise. Usually when someone points out the lack of a source he/she is thinking the poster is passing something as fact. I don't understand your original comment. Please accept my deepest apologies.
Edit: Ignore this, it was uncalled for. My apologies to Eureka. Not sarcastically this time >.>
They can launch it with a piece of pooh on a stick and i would still buy it. How about Resi Evil 6 or Eternal Darkness 2. They did say its time to bring the hardcorz back
They said Ocarina 3D and Star Fox 64 3D were demos, too. Demos are often pursued as full games if there is a show of interest. NSMB Mii seems like a safe bet for a real game, if not a launch title. It would be a pretty terrible choice of demo if they weren't planning to make it, as it didn't push the graphics very hard and didn't use the controller in any new way, either.
That said, Skyward Sword just came out. It's unreasonable to expect Zelda is even a possibility at launch, unfortunately. I'd like to see Pikmin 3, NSMBM, and F-Zero.
(Here's a game for the kids at home: Try to spot the title that isn't going to happen.)
