Whike we're at it, have Nintendo buy back Rare too, and rehire some original employees.

Nintendo should buy all 3DSes to print money so they can buy the world

it's a conspiration, people are being brainwashed by aliens from the center of the earth to make weird questions and distract the humans so they can invade the moon.

yes but the remake will be in real life so everyone will have 72 hours after their invasion to stop the moon from falling!

Namco and SEGA are both aligned with tertiary markets, toys for Namco (Bandai) and gambling for SEGA (Sammy) and neither is in any danger of failure. They will not merge with Nintendo. Capcom is more stubborn and would be satisfied to crank out Resident Evil and DLC for the rest of their days rather than merge or sell.
And all three 3rd parties enjoy being multiplat. All three also give plenty of support to Nintendo.
Pointless and incredibly unlikely merger is pointless and incredibly unlikely.
But more than that, I don't understand why them all being under one banner would improve the quality of any of their products.
This. It just doesn't make sense for them to merge. I like having games on my other platforms as well. Not looking to be a Nintendo-only kind of gamer.

I think the Japanese government has laws against companies that big merging like that...
IDK Japanese law that well, but I would think that wouldn't be an issue unless it results in a monopoly.
I've might've been duped. I thought I saw something about a Japanese Antitrust law blocking a merger between two large companies, but I can't find even a shread of evidence besides some guy saying it in a thread on this site...
I suppose it's possible, but unlikely. Capcom is already looking at a deal with Tencent, and if they take it, then it's as good as gone. Namco Bandai is doing all right financially so it probably won't need a buyout/merger for a while. SEGA though, I think they're next on the chopping block, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up in the same position as Capcom in the next 5 years or so. But unlike Capcom, I think it's highly likely that Nintendo would buy out SEGA, or at least buy out Sonic. Sonic would probably be a huge money maker for them, not just because he's a well known gaming mascot, but because they could cash in on 90's gaming rivalries on a regular basis. You think Mario & Sonic at the Olympics or Sonic in Smash is enough? Try Mario & Sonic platformers, Mario & Sonic Kart racing, Mario & Sonic pretty much anything.
na sega is making their parent company sammy a tom of money buy using their ip's in pachinko machines. sega is doing fine. the only company out of the old school ip developers i could see ninty buying without a fight from sony ect. is tecmo.
Tecmo? As in Tecmo Koei? Unless something mosterously stupid happened in the last two years, they've been doing incredibly well.

Not realy. Not bad but not great. That however is not my point. Successful company's are picked up all the time by other company's. I said they are the only ones who would not cause a bidding war with Sony.
Is sony in any postion to do any bidding. PS4 aside they haven't turned the downward spiral around and even the spider-man film series is giving them dimishing returns. The PlayStation division has just invested in two high risk but new markets in Morpheous and PSNOW both doing badly would hurt. Not sure the parent company would allow them to do any bidding when it would be smarter to aquire partners like Ready at Dawn and Quantic Dream.
WAT!

HAHAHA I don't think Sony has any extra money to throw around but they might surprise us.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I love how a seemingly rhetorical question get such deep answers. Its funny how everyone here us like "No, it will never happen!" When I think it was a question about what you thought of the idea, not IF it was it would ever happen lol...
I think Namco would be a good fit, Sega characters in Nintendo games are fun and Capcom's Monster Hunter has been quite successful on Nintendo mobile platforms. Having said that I personally can't say I care much about the current games from any of these companies (Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is my fave Street Fighter game and I love Namco and Sega's classic arcade games).
I think Koei-Tecmo is the company I'd like to see aligned with most just because of the Warriors games. It would be a shame to see partnerships end with any of these companies; if any of them did fail I hope Nintendo would be in a position to step in.
